For those in the greater NYC area, WABC channel 7 used to have the 4:30 movie in the afternoon. I remember they'd run a week long theme like Planet of the Apes, Godzilla, etc... News didn't start until 6pm.

 

We had the 330 matinee on ABC here in pst.

 

No problem. I used to watch McGyver.

 

Remember when you had something important and fun to do on Friday night and the energy to do it.

Pay phones, phone booths, and 900Mhz motorola pagers.

I miss them at times.

 

i lived in SEAsia for a few years in the 90's, and seemed everyone lived & died by those pagers, including me. i think i can even remember my number from it. but alas that's not making me feel old. that was 1993. the only phones at that time were those huge beige hogs, so only the attention seekers used those cus they were bigger than wired phones.

 

Remember when UCF fighters had to fight some 3 fights before the final champion fight all in the same day.
