Luckily it wasn’t. I was up near exit 4 traveling down into Worcester when I pulled over.

Really appreciate the offer, I got lucky and the brother in law had the day off so he brought some coolant so I could get off the highway. Ended up being the rear heater pipes that rusted/cracked causing me to loose coolant while driving. Just bypassed those lines for the time being and will figure out a more permanent fix for the future. Thanks again for the offer. Nice knowing people are local if I need help. I’m only in Worcester for another 4 weeks.

 getting left stranded is no fun. I may not have as much repair knowledge as some on here but, I'm always willing to lend a hand. What are you doing down here or 4 weeks till leaving?

Yeah, sometimes you really only need a hand so I appreciate the offer regardless of mechanic skill haha. I am in PA school and I am in Worcester for my psychiatric rotation at Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital, formerly the state hospital. It's 6 weeks total and I am at the end of week 2, it's been awesome but I don't love the Worcester traffic ha

Having done a lot of mechanical work on my own, sometimes there's just no way around needing somebody else's help, no matter how creative you get

Oh yeah and if you're coming down 190 to 290 it only gets worse. I always try to avoid 290 after work as much as possible.

Gonna be chilly bring some warm gear! I think this is the last weekend of decent leaf peepin' as well. Lots of them blew off this week out by us and the colors are starting to dim a little. Hopefully you get some nice views up there.

and CONGRATULATIONS! on getting married, hope everything goes smoothly and you guys have a fun day!

my wife said the job of a husband is not to make the wife happy, it's just to "Not make the wife upset"....We had a funny moment at our wedding. We had it outside in NH and the day was a little misty/cloudy before the ceremony and the wedding planner lady comes into the room full of people and says "Ladies and gentlemen the bride has made a decision...." and I hear a "GASP" from a few people...and after an unnecessarily long pause she says "The bride has decided the wedding will be held outside"....

well no shit...How about next time you don't dangle the "Maybe she ran off" idea and lead with "Despite the gray skies the bride has decided to hold the ceremony outside"...

    Clowns...

Take it all in, relax and pretend you are a camera recording everything...or you're going to find yourself on cruise control and not remember everything...Remember the people, and the sounds and the smell (if outside) the air, the wind, the music, the food...Take it all in because if you do it right, this is the last time you're getting married...

    Good luck :)

It rained like nobodies business, so bad it was leaking inside our reception, on our wedding, we figured it's good luck. She was like a half hour late, so far so good. @BadDNA its what you make it, enjoy and have fun. I type this as I am sitting here drinking Jameson and Fireball with the wife on a Friday evening. Life can be good.

I'm not sure. His last plow was a nice silver Patriots Fisher plow. Haven't seen the new one yet.

Another insane week at work. Things need to slow down, or at least things need to actually work out.

At least I’ve got a weekend without plans to get something accomplished.

Yeah that's right it's midnight I'm drinking a beer and eating leftover mac & cheese and watching the Golden girls on the Hallmark Channel. 40 minutes on the elliptical. I earned this :)

Btw I watched this show when I was 13 and laughed at some of the jokes but now I get many more of them and it's still hilarious today.
Betty White earned her stripes with this show. She's fantastic.

Nasty weather today. Wife's cousin is getting married at our spot and she's photographing it, so we will be working more than hanging out. TBH I don't mind that and prefer to keep an eye on things rather than make small talk with people I don't really know for 6-8 hours.

Talking more and more to some equipment operators and plow guys etc... and really getting into the idea of a tractor with a snowblower on it to clear our property and parking lots. Last year we had to pay to have people take snow away, and I spent about 6 hours power brooming stones back on. A snowblower would totally remove a lot of that, and it just looks so much cleaner. Now obviously a tractor is a lot of money and I can move a lot of snow and spend a lot of time power brooming until I pay one off. But Kubota's got 0% financing until December...could use the tractor to help make my trail system better as well as mow the couple acres we have right now. Got a lot of thinking to do. Gonna talk to a few more people about the financial aspects, but free money seems to be leaving if anyone has been watching the news or their stocks this week, so it's "now or never" for a good deal on that I think. Any advice or opinions would be welcome.

Someone else threatened me with snow the other day. I am NOT ready for this yet. I want to get at least into November before we have some regular frosts and snow.
