Obviously there are similarities between the Tacoma and the hilux. I was watching a video on YouTube for the new Hilux, The seats look nice in there for power. I’ll never understand why Toyota has not put those in the Tacoma.

YOU DONT NEED POWER SEATS. YOU NEED A DESERT AIR INTAKE!

I thought the Tacoma existed because the hilux wasn't luxurious enough for North America

Am I the only one who dislikes power seats? I hate getting into a shorter persons car and it taking 10 full seconds to back out the seat. I just like to grab that bar and slam 'er back and go!

I like my manual seat in my Tacoma but my 2006 Forestor has a power seat and its worked fine for 12 years

Automatic power seats rock. Fiance drove the Q60 yesterday and she forgot she had already stored her preferences. She didn’t even notice the seat and such repositioned for her.

I go to get in today and it reset to my preferences.

And I also love the seat in the 4Runner. It should be in the Tacoma.

Definitely would add a couple pounds but it's just an electric motor and a threaded rod, chances of it breaking would be pretty slim.

ha, a couple pounds. those things weigh easily 25-40 more. plus some seats are known for stripping gears or just plain breaking gears.

im all for keeping manual seats.

but i dont own a turd gen either :crapstorm:

My wife’s Prius C has a mechanical seat height adjustment. Some day she is going to find her drivers seat torn out so I can see if I can modify my Taco seat!

My car is 26 years old with power seats, never had any issues, had the seats out of the car before too and the electric motor and screw drive are less than 25 - 40 pounds. I would think that modern vehicles with newer electric motors would be even smaller and more efficient too so they would be much lighter.

It gets power seats for the same reason it gets a diesel

Geez can't you guys just like your truck the way it is?
Right now it's a Tacoma. It won't be a Tacoma if you change it. It will be something else. Geez how hard is this to understand.

By the way do you like the way your truck is? Have you modified at all? I hope you just left it the way it was right from the factory.
