This was waaaay cheaper than a new 4R.
It's just a toy. She still has the minivan.

It's called strategy.... since I got her this, when it's time to replace the minivan, I can replace it with whatever I want. Like a 4R. :D

^This. Trying (myself) to pull this off. Can't fit "Little Miss Fussy Britches" into the Tacoma... so it went up for sale.

Been trying to convince "Mrs. Fussy Britches" that a 4Runner is Zactly what we need.

It's not going in my favor (thus far). :(

In case you were wondering... I only became "Mr. Fussy Britches" when the Tacoma was sold.

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
I can understand that but, who will we get to read the descriptions on the back of beer bottles at camp fires now?

I have been meaning to message you about your beetle. Not sure if you have been buying all your parts from the web or not. But if you need stuff asap there are two shops in the denver area. One is painters grinding and the other is nuvintage. They are both very knowledgeable and keep a ton of items in stock.

Ok. I'll keep the truck then.

I was only getting ridiculous lowball offers anyways.

I sold the Tacoma to the wife as a family car since it has 4 doors.......

The wife threatens to steal the new dd 2000 4runner.... and also threatens to take up fly fishing so she can get a rod vault for her new 2000 4runner.

She really wants a 100 series landcruiser, but her commute Kills that idea

Thanks for the names, the PO told me about the places in the area that would have stuff in stock.. It's been slow, put the engine and trans back in but haven't had the time to wire it and put oil in it to hopefully find out the leak stopped.

I think it was actually painters who built the engine (and applied jb weld or similar to the engine block where it was cracked).

But not much of a rush project, so I'd only grab parts if i was already down in Denver on one of my few trips per year. Crossing my fingers the oil leak is fixed, if not I'm not going to be overly quick to get time to go through and rebuild the spare engine i have... Probably end up buying another car that ran first.
