Why they're just truck sized Subaru wheels.

I like the machined Aluminum vs. glossy painted look.

Heck, if they're free, run em. I'm sure you'll find another good one later on, just gotta be patient. I wouldn't buy one new.

People will just think that you don't know how to tow seeing that scratched wheel.

You can see if some machinist is sadistic enough to Chuck those up on a lathe or fly cutter. Or just leave it as is because it's going on a trailer.

You're probably right he should learn to reverse a trailer before he puts shiny wheels on haha

It's like putting a scratched door on your truck. Does it work the same? Absolutely. Does it annoy the hell out of you? Of course.

Get a roller, chop the frame in front of the firewall & build the tongue & frame from there.

I saw an 80s Silverado like that a few weeks ago. Had to take a double look when I saw it. Never seen it done like that before, I wonder if that's even legal?

Why do you think I own the 5-Lug?

I was looking for a bed and bumper to do the same thing. But then I found that truck for cheaper.

I'm the kind of person that's OCD enough to worry about a scratched wheel, even if it's on a trailer.

I wish I had that few things to worry about in life that a scratch on a wheel would be worth my time haha

Why do you think I restored that welder?

I have the same reasoning about the aesthetics of that thing versus the wheel.

Me too but for the price can't pass that up. If it were me I'd run em until I found another good wheel for the right price. Should be easier to find since they're still new & plenty of people putting on new wheels. Of course harder to find just one though but not impossible.

Just put the scratched wheel on the passenger side so you don't see it everytime you get in & out of your truck. ;)

I've got too much other stuff to do that makes things functional, superficial stuff gets to wait until I have a surplus of time and money. Tools dont ever get that unless they cannot function any longer. The truck never will because it's monetarily worthless and almost sentimentally worthless now too. My trailer I just keep looking decent, but the wheels are all scratched from my locking chain and I don't care. The cruiser is monetraily high worth and gets regular washes and waxed to retain the value. The Z I have genuine interest in and have always wanted one so it's getting some superficial work but I'm not about to take it to a body shop cause it is still a 30 year old car with low monetary value. All about prioritization and responsible spending. Putting money into my trailers looks would never net me any return if I sell it cause its a fucking trailer, but functionally it's pristine. The truck is a perfect running and driving specimen but looks ugly and no benefit would come from improving it's looks cause it's still just an old Toyota from a generation far too recent to be worth much plus it's just a 4cyl which are worth even less. I guess I just don't see the point in the time and money waste, but it's your money and time so I'll shut up.

You make some good points. At the end of the day, I really just enjoy customizing my vehicles and keeping them looking good. I absolutely don’t need matching wheels, or even new wheels at all. As it sits, it works as it was intended. A trailer.

The whole adding wheels, new marker lights, and decals for my company is just to make something I’m proud of, and enjoying using and looking at. It’s something that I made my own.

Nothing fundamentally wrong with that, I was much the same way when I was younger and had less freedom and more money haha. I can't imagine finding pride in my trailer it's just a hauler. My pride in my truck is how it functions, you won't have a smoother more trouble free ride in the middle of nowhere. It just wouldn't be responsible of me to fix it superficially, partially cause its guaranteed to get ruined again with wheeling and it's worthless anyway.

I get modernizing the trailer and making it safer with lights, that's functional, even the matching wheels is nice from a matched ride height point of view (tires will be fucking expensive though). But spending a bunch to clean up a common and worthless stock Toyota wheel doesn't seem wise. Even the decal is fine if you aren't concerned about theft. But I wouldn't go doing much more than maybe some shelving inside it.

My cruiser is the closest thing I have to your truck, it's just tastefully stock for the most part. It's good how it is and that helps its value. The Z right now is the only thing I can have lots of fun with but even then my style has never been pristine clean and pretty. I despise people that go to car shows and just stand by their car detailing it the whole time. My Z will be rough around the edges but with my touch to the computer and engine it won't stay in your sight long enough for you to notice. My dad always had super clean classic cars when I was a kid and they were just so boring to me, so much potential and it was all wasted to keep it vintage.
