Yea it is sad how fragile the plastics are! I had hell with my A pillars and tweeter covers. Plus it must have been nice to install the tweeters before the windshield. That probably made it super easy.

About 18k miles, only when cold and on a bumpy road here. Goes away when it warms up. Annoying though.

Not really, once the bolt is removed they just pull out and up they come out nice and easy. On the driver side be careful putting the bolt back in, I snapped mine and my cover is held on by a self tapper now. The grille covers just pry the edges up and go slow.

Had a rattle in the dash directly above the stereo. Took it to dealer last week and described the problem. They test drove it and heard it themselves. They removed the stereo, resecured some wires, foamed some areas up, and it was fixed!!! For about 2 days... Now it’s already back...

Unfortunately, this seems like a lost art.

I got a rattle under my passenger dash. Think it is the harness underneath, just gotta make a little time to meas with it.

No way Id take it to the dealer for that.

Rattle is a no cost option on all Tacomas. It's a great deal considering an almost $40k truck.

Jokes aside, mines was a metal piece connected to a plastic piece that was rattling. Something to do with the AC. Drivers kick panel area.

I'm having a constant rattling noise coming from what seems to be the overhead panel. Pressing on it doesn't stop it and I can't seem to find the source. Anyone else having this issue? I have an '18 OR and just broke 3k miles.

I have the rattle at the passenger side tweeter at 5000 miles. Thought it was coming from the plastic behind the rearview mirror on the windshield at first. I let it drive me crazy for a couple days. Now I just turn the music up

For that pillar rattle I cut a 1 inch piece of black insulated 12 gauge wire and tucked it in where it was vibrating. Stopped the vibration and you can't see the wire.

Good idea. I need to do that.

I stuffed a business card there as a temp fix.

Could you please explain or show me where to stuff this piece of insulated wire? The noise is driving me nuts!

    Thanks.

If you stuff anything that you hope to not see, it will move and the noise will come back. This happened to me twice using sticky back loop tape. The summer heat and relative movement had it sliding off. This time, I used non-sticky back and crazy glue (cyanoacrylate):

This was actually a couple pieces of one wrap. I shaved off the hooks. They are the little dots on the tool chest.

Maaan thank you very much for the info and picture, this helps a lot. Do you know of a video or tutorial to remove these parts? I don't want to break any tabs or clips lol.

Check the cabin air filter. I had a rattle in my pass pillar that I fixed and was wondering WTF was going on. I took it off twice and the speaker grill to finally find that the one tab for the cabin air filter wasn't latched fully and was bouncing around some.
