Sooooo, then what would it be? A Maserati? Cadillac Escalade?? And if I put on hondos knobs on my radio, will it become a Ford F150? Wow, then with the mods I have, I’m cruising in the space shuttle!!!!!

Point is, it would be a nice feature added in. To those that don’t adjust, well, set it and forget it. I do that with power seats or manual. I just don’t get the hate towards someone that likes something different than you. I personally wish it had more seat options but I knew it didn’t when I bought it so I’m not complaining. Just saying it would have been nice.

Agree 100%. On the other hand I’m the only driver of my Tacoma so the seat never moves so spending $ on power seats to never move them wouldn’t be practical to me

the easy answer to this problem is to set the seat where you like it, then go under the seat, unplug the electrical connection and walla no more power seats.

All this bitching about not liking the truck for what it is....

The entire reason I love the Tacoma is because I can mold it to fit me and what I want it to be. Above all else, what I want are OPTIONS. I hate cookie cutter bullshit. If I spend 30-40k on a truck it best damn well be exactly configured like I like it.

That being said, hell yea power seats would be great.

Really?, Just asking why the Tacoma didn’t come with one. Obviously I bought it because I love the truck . And since you didn’t want to parade princess vehicle, why didn’t you get a 1979 Ford F150?. Those engines run forever. For that matter why did you get a sport?.

Haha you’re living in a fantasy. It costs way to must to offer every conceivable option. They offer the options that 90% of people will buy at that price point. You want white rhino leather steering wheel trim with elephant tusk inlays for your $35k truck, you’re barking up the wrong tree.

They have clearly figured out the features most people want in a mid-size truck because the Tacoma sells like hot cakes.

I think 90% of the folks that complain about the seats would just like height adjustable. Even manual would pacify many.

I like to sit up high but I can get away with that because at 5’10” I can take advantage even with a moonroof. I have my 4runner seat sitting pretty high.

The seats on the 3rd gen are pretty different compared to the 2nd gen. I think that sparked quite a few complaints.

Every vehicle has a blemish. I don't hate change. The truck is not perfect. It could be improved but where does it stop? A bit more headroom, your legs not so straight out, more knee and hip room, better stereo, bigger center console, easier to see over the hood, easier to see front bumper corners, an eight speed transmisson, a diesel, a turbo, a supercharger, bigger engine, more mpg's, more ground clearance....

All these "ideas" and "changes" are lifted directly from threads here on Tacomaworld. People actually want these changes and "wish" for them. What they don't realize is they won't have a Tacoma after these changes. They will have a Tundra or a Raptor or a F150 or a Colorado or a 4Runner.

The Tacoma is what it is, warts and all.

What makes a Tacoma is the name, Tacoma. You can add 1” more headroom. Better stereo, power seats, 8 speed or even a ten speed trans., and a bigger center console and still be a Tacoma.

My wife’s RAV4 has manual seat height adjustment. I would like to have the seats from her car in my truck.

Toyota obviously understands that everyone has different length legs but misses the point that people also have different length torsos. If power seats are out of the question, than at least add manual height adjustment. No extra weight and little added expense.

I love the power seats in my wife's Avalon. Getting out or in it automatically moves the seat tot he rear for easy access, then after seated will adjust to the selected preset.

So what makes my father is his name? I can take a bar of soap and name it Aluminum and it becomes Aluminum?
C'mon man. A name is just an identifier. Let me tell you a secret... there is a reason that a Jeep still looks the way it does. Why do you think the 3rd gen is just one standard deviation away from a second gen? Because of the following they develop.

So. By your logic, a vehicle can’t be different than what it is today except small minor variations to be called the same name?? Non sense.

Vehicles have radically changed through its life. Jeep, was only a 2 door. Now it offers 4. Now they commin with 4 doors and a bed. By your logic, the 4 door and bed versions aren’t jeeps any more. Ford has changed its grill style many times on the f 150. Is it still an f 150?? The Colorado now has a diesel version. Is it a Colorado???? I’m confused!!!! By your logic, none of these should have the same name.

Adding 1” to the height of the Tacoma. It’s still a Tacoma. Adding power seats. It’s still a Tacoma. Adding a bigger engine (or smaller). It’s still a Tacoma. Even if Toyota de badged the tundra and called it a Tacoma .... it’s still a Tacoma. Maybe not by your standards but that’s what it is... a Tacoma.

Power seats don’t matter much to me, just height adjustment. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve felt like I almost hit someone or something because the rear view mirror blocks my right hand line of sight.

If you weren’t aware, you can adjust the mirror up and down. It seems the factory setting is all the way down.
