2018 TRD offroad package with the QI wireless charger. Has anyone had any issue's. I have an Iphone 8 plus QI compatible. My phone wont charge. You turn on the switch then put the phone on either nothing happens then the 2 light flash green/orange. I took the truck in. Dealership states its working with our phones. Your phone is broken. Ive had my phone chexked yes it works fine on the wireless chargers at the Apple store and the phone carrier store where i bought. I tried my girlfriends Iphone X. Nope doesnt work with hers either. Yes we both have the QI compatible cases.

Did the dealership show you it worked? I would go back and ask them to show you how it works.

This would not be acceptable to me, I don't care how busy they are, you asked for them to fix an issue, it's their responsibility to assist you. If not a call to yota corporate may be in order.

My iPhone X charges. Not sure how you’re putting it on but I have the ear speaker toward the driver side and the phone closest to the back

I had a Samsung S8 that would not charge on the Toyota QI charger. After a few minutes it would behave as you described in the OP. My theory is that the Samsung phones (you might recall some of them burst into flames) had been designed with an overly aggressive acceptable charging temperature range (it is too low) because of the previous spontaneous combustion problems of earlier models. They have a temperature sensor in them that cuts off charging when a certain temperature is reached. All Samsung phones that I tried behaved the same on the QI charger in the truck. I then went with an LG G7 ThinQ and never looked back. It charges flawlessly on the QI charger and lives there while I am in the truck.

I had an 8Plus. It had the same issues you are describing. My wife's X worked no problem.
My new Xs works without issues.

I actually do believe that its related to an iphone 8plus issue. I never found a solution. Not sure why your SOs X doesn't work.

Sorry. I have heard that other people have gotten an 8plus replacement and that has worked. But I didn't go that route as I was getting a new phone anyway.

I have a Galaxy S8 and it charges fine. I've put my daughters iPhone 8 on it and it worked fine, too.

Same car as you. Once I hit the qi button and put the phone on it the little light next to it shows up and it charges but with a case on it seems slower.

The Apple advice for an iPhone X not charging with Qi is to turn the phone off and back on again.
I had to do that at home with my Mophie. It has always charged in my Taco when I wanted it to.

My Samsung S8+ works well. Sometimes when driving over bumps it will stop charging but then start again. Just see if you can change the orientation a little and get it to work. Wireless charging can be difficult. I only use wireless chargers at home, sometimes it takes a few tries to get it to work. The one in the Tacoma is actually better than the Samsung branded wireless chargers I use at home.

My iphone xs is sensitive to where you place it. The top of the phone needs to face the drivers side, and it needs to be centered to work. If I put the top to the passenger side and keep it to the right I will get the 2 blinking lights that you describe. Once that happens the only thing that fixes it is to turn the car off and back on again as even with the phone removed the two lights keep blinking.

My wife's iPhone 8 and then 10 works fine, as did my ZTE Axon7 and now my Samsung Galaxy S9. To echo the comments above, proper placement and thickness of any case can be key to getting it to work.

It works on my iPhone Xs but not very well. You’re better off using a usb cable.

I have a usb car charger in the center console outlet with a 3ft cable. It works great and can be concealed.
