Nope- since Zach sold them ALWAYS clear. You literally just can't see it. Those guys must have gotten an extra bar to make it black or they were supplying their old bars without the holes cut since they changed the holes. Anywho- up to you.

Unfortunate. Looks like one end of my crossbar isn’t threaded.

Anyone have experience self tapping? I’m about to run to Home Depot before they close to see what I need...

They’re 1/4 x 20 right?

 

I'm pretty sure that's correct. Take mounting screw with you to make sure.

 

Do these slots go up towards the sky or down towards the roof?

Install’s gone from bad to worse...

-Found an additional crossbar with no threading

-Snapped 2 x self tapping drill bits and a screw extractor (do drill bit extractors exist??) with no luck.

-Snapped one of the bolt heads in a successfully self tapped hole and it’s now stuck too.

2 cross bars down, I’m going to rock the 4 cross bar setup until I can get a couple replacements out here.

Really hate to hear that, man. All of my hardware was fine. I've got the rack assembled on the floor, just not tightened down yet. I'm not out of the woods yet, though. I'm still waiting on my 3/4" punch to arrive for the weather stripping anddd....

Does not fit the Prinsu rack without modifications to the light bar mounts. The holes don't line up with the t-slot channel due to the wind deflector. I'm going to have to modify the mounts to get them to work.

 

Glad all of your hardware is looking good so far and I hope it continues to be a smooth install for ya.

Lastly, I spent a LONG time today using the 3/4” punch, lining up the holes as best I could, and I still ended up with some wavy weatherstripping...if you’re hell bent on doing it, go for it. But I’m thinking I should’ve just cut each piece to length around the spacers instead.

 

I had the same issue with the hole punch was off about 1/8" on 1 hole and got a little wave in it but i think if i squirt a little silicone under it and weight it down until dry it should get the wave out!

What did you use the tape along the roofline for?
