Does anyone know how to strap a GSX-R into the bed?

So I want to buy an 09 GSX-R and i have a 09 Tacoma sport shortbed. Do they fit? Or will i have to buy that extension thing for the bed? And also, how would you strap that puppy in?!

Use the bed d-rings , most guys add a pair in the cab end of the bed as well .

 

x2. The best way to hold the bike down is with the D Rings. I did the D ring mod and added 4 more D rings to the bed. It holds down my bike (R6) very securely. Prior to the mod I did use the bed rails and I was not comfortable with it.

 

Buy a pair of soft ties and a pair of ancra tie downs.
Put the soft ties around the lower triple clamp in between the fairing and the front fender. Use the ancra's off the D'Rings to the soft ties and secure the bike. You can buy soft ties and tie downs at any Cycle gear or motorcycle shop or online shop.
Leave the tail gate down and do one more tie down off the passenger footpeg to the back D'rings but dont squash the rear suspension, just use it to keep from skipping sideways when going over bumps.

That's the way I tie sport bikes into my truck and it's solid.

no don't use these, they suck for bikes.

canyon dancers are ok kind of, I've had them in the past and stopped using them when they broke my throttle tube.
