Do it. I wish I would have done it along time ago. Read the threads ahead of time. I have a short thread with some important info about the caliper and how to modify or what parts to get to make it right

I'm not going fancy at first. Just gonna try some Auto Zone or cooler yet a junked Tundra, like when I took wheel hubs off a rolled 350 for my 79 Bronco

@Boatbldr Yeah regardless of who you buy them from you’re going to need to do some slight modification to one of these
    The banjo bolt
    The brake lines
    Or the caliper.

The 13wl is designed to be mated with a hardline (atleast off of a tundra). You will notice inside the brake fluid inlet a small feral. You can do 3 things
    1) shorten and drill your banjo bolt to create a cavity that will go around the feral. (Common, but not the way I went)
    2) purchase the conversion kit from LC like the guy above (the best way but most expensive)
    3) remove the feral from the caliper and continue as if you were installing Tacoma calipers

Most people suggest after market lines which I also agree with. I have steel braded lines from marlin crawler.

You will need to trim or bend your dust shields to fit the caliper.

I'm gonna start with the lines. I understand my 17" stock wheel is enough room for caliper. That was my main concern. I'm due to get new pads soon. I'll look through your postings tomorrow after wool to plan it out. I love going to the junkyard, there's one I've been passing by in the next county I've never been to. Although these guys have gotten greasy to do it. They make me remove parts then price me pissing me off.

I should add the reason the banjo bolt won't work is because on the Tundra and 4Runner, the calipers use a hard brake line with flared fittings instead of a soft brake line with a banjo bolt. You can indeed use the existing banjo bolt and brake lines with some modification, but I chose to use LCE's Tundra upgrade package that came with the correct hardlines already.

This is the method I recommend, pricey - but worth it. Wheeler's makes a cheaper option with the correct banjo bolt.

Is the tundra swap fine to do with ABS. I don’t see any reason it wouldn’t be. But I was looking into rear disc swaps and opened a can of worms I don’t want any part of due to the ABS.

I did the Tundra brake upgrade with the banjo bolt drill mod. Been driving around several month now and thought all was good.

Today I was doing the final touches to the reservoir update to my ICON coil overs and noticed this problem with the steering at full lock.

Do you have any pictures of your LCE brake line install at the caliper? Do see any reason why they may not work to fix this brake line contact with the coil over?

I have ICON Coilovers too and have no clearance issues.

I don’t have a picture of the back however. I’m bleeding my brakes later today I’ll get you a picture.

It's a PITA due to the other end needing to turn, but rotating that banjo so it angles away from the shock would add clearance.

Thanks BartMaster...have brake lines on order.

I thought about doing this also but like you said it is kind of messy. The brake line mount at the spindle arm would be upside down which isn't a big deal. Also no matter how tight I make the banjo bolt on the drivers side I'm still seeing brake fluid seepage.

Here you go. I’m running the LC Engineering Tundra to Tacoma brake conversion lines.
