I also decided to start adding my Ensolite Sound Deadening to the Doors. I didn’t want to install everything until I had my audio installed and now that I do, I can finish this project.

I replaced all 6 speakers a long time ago and did not disconnect my battery. I have installed speakers in most of my vehicles for the past 40+ years and never disconnected the battery. Only disconnect for head units or amps.
If you use the correct wire adapters there is no cutting and no splicing of any wires. Simply unplug the old speakers, install and plug in the new speakers. Zero risk. Quick and simple. Maybe 1 hour for all 4 doors start to finish. 10 minutes per side for the dash tweeters.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
I think disconnecting the battery is recommended to prevent accidentally triggering the side curtain air bags in the A-pillars. While this may be highly unlikely, it's easy to do and having an air bag deploy can cause some serious injury. I know I would certainly do this if I were running cables through that area and adding cable ties (working with side-cutters to trim the ties).

Westin hdx drop steps, RCI bed rack w/smittybuilt 2person tent. 3inch RC lift 265/65r18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on mo978’s. 12 inch powered Rockford sub. Rockford door speakers and suburu kicker tweeters (1 blew after hooking door speakers to alpine 45x4 amp).
Put those suburu kicker tweeters in last night, outside after the sun went down. Would have taken 20 minutes if my finger tips hadn’t frozen, but they did and I tripped over my sidestep jamming them into the driver console somewhere. After a few f bombs and some warm water for my digits I finished the install and took my Taco round the neighborhood to see what these little tweets could do. It was late( like 130a) so the trip was short, but for the 4 or 5 songs that played I could tell these outperformed the stock ones at least two fold. Much clearer throughout and it doesn’t muddy up near as much .Makes Me Want More! And that’s why I ordered more.Single 12inch sealed 300rms powered Rockford punch should be enough to jiggle my pickle. I had two 10 inch punch 400s in a sealed box with a Rockford 600 amp between’em ifor my first set up. First thing I ever put on credit...would not be my last. Anyway this is my first Tacoma, First time buying a vehicle that I truly wanted! Kinda wished I got the pro though. Mabey next time....
