I've really been researching all the different camper/camping options and the prices of the junk that is being offered is just really hard to believe. You got one of the best things going with your set up.

My 9 y.o. asked to learn how to use some tools (!!!) because she had something in mind to build for her dolls. The boy gets a pass as the ALCS is on, but I couldn't deny the girl's request, eh?

Real basic hands-on stuff, but I'll admit it; I might've teared up a little bit.

    Cheers, y'all.

I don’t have kids. Can’t say I’m a huge fan of (most) kids. But if you ever need someone to sit this one, I’m in! You’re doing great things here!

Hmm, let's see: I have no idea who you are, I've read like 4 posts you've made here, and you admit to not having kids and not being a fan of kids.

HOWEVER... we don't get out hardly ever, babysitters are rare AF, and you offered, so - you're on. See you next Saturday.

Damn that is a shit load of people. Ugh.

Sea story, or actually shore story they both start with this is a no shitter.

Met a guy in TJ Mexico back in the late 70's one evening. He was stationed in China Lake and did calibration on the canons for the F18's. Ended up going back to China Lake that night with him and at 0200 I was sitting in the Navigators seat of a Hornet looking down a cement tunnel with a heads up display as he showed me how the calibrations were done on the canons. Next thing I knew the canopy opened and half a dozen jarheads threw me to the deck and one of them had the muzzle of a M16 buried in the back of my neck. Talk about party wreckers. Bastards it was fun as hell up until that point.....

China Lake has a long history of military development in warfare. Chief "Patches" Watson who was a founding member of the SEAL's had them develop the duckbill for the Ithaca 37 in Nam, he said the enemy never complained when being shot with it.

Never had a duckbill. But am a fan of the Ithaca 37 shell shucker it is what I grew up with.

Yeah you add a tow vehicle a shitter, shower, and room you are talking a LOT of money.

My father drove truck and sold the house when he retired from Teamsters to buy a Class A and tow a daily driver. They spent 2 years doing it before he developed cancer. Had the Class A and a trailer house in Florida and another in the Endless Mountain Region of Pa.\NY when Hospice showed up for the end.

My first home was a trailer, single wide. Nothing wrong with that. But to spend a 100K or more for a tow vehicle, trailer, plus lot\rent fees of at least $40 bucks a night doesn't make sense to me anymore.

Trust me. There is a point crawling in the back of your truck just plain sucks and you will not want to do it....

However not sure what the answer is. And medical does comes into play especially at the age of 65 even where I work. Although we don't take non resident Medicare at Az. or Fl. above government allowable limits (see ya later) we do in Mn. Unless you are an ex employee which I will be so expands my options, plus TriCare for life. Tough decisions. I do not have the answer. But am starting to lean toward keeping the house and renting near the Valley in Az. for a few months of the year in winter. Not sure but makes the most sense to me.

Morning all. Stiff & sore from yesterday's yard work. That's just not right...

Off to Roger Williams University in RI later for a campus tour with our daughter - couple hour ride each way w/o traffic.

Good morning y’all, sore from yard work and old age:annoyed: I know a lot of you have big lots or acreage we’re you live. I unfortunately live in a neighborhood in a rural area. The somewhat new neighbor is a young dickhead with a farming background. He bought an old 30’ boat that he keeps in a slip on Lake Michigan. Everyone has pulled there boats for the season, he pulled his and brought it home . He had it winterized and wrapped, and now we get to look at it for next six months. A lot of people have little boats or campers tuck away in there backyard. This fucking thing is sitting 10’from my driveway, this asshole has no respect for other people’s property.:annoyed:
