Opened the carbs on this 37 year old bike expect the worst. Find this.

The gas tank on the other hand.....currently taking a vinegar bath. Gas came out lookin like orange juice with flakes.

Looks clean. Po must've drained the carbs prior to storage. I would still pull the main & pilot jets to see if they're clear.

Gas tank is as clean as it’ll get. Gotta pick up some heet to get rid of any water I may have missed. Then just gotta put the carbs on, airbox, battery, and we’ll see how she runs.

Did you pull the Jets to make sure they are clean & clear? I always remove them and hold them up to light to make sure you can see thru'em. The passages are so small it doesn't take much to cause a issue. Wrenching on vintage Kawasaki 900's for many years I've seen a clogged jet cause issues numerous times because they were overlooked.

Thanks for the suggestion of No Limit. Just had the alignment done today - as well as got some tires on my new wheels from them. Great guys.

I've bought and sold alot of Z1 & Kz900's over the years. This all original low mileage 1975 Z1900 was the last one I sold. I drove down to VA and bought it for $800. Brought it home, cleaned it up then sold it on eBay for $7700. I still have the green 1976 kz900 and a blue 1978 KZ1000 sitting in my garage.
