Really thinking that, but keep them separate. No inverter, no converter....simple, easy, cheap. I'm thinking solar for a 12v light or 2, phone charger, 12v fan. 110 off the generator with an extra plug or 2 for 110 fan, 2 lights, charger and ac. Don't think a 2k gen will do it. Probably 3k or 3500. Ac's suck a lot of juice.

I've got so many ideas stuck in my head. If I built them all in the build I'd need a damn Ram 5500 Cummins 4x4 to pull it. But I do plan on a few extras.

    Absolutely separated..
I know they are expensive but the dam Honda’s are quiet as a church mouse.
The guy we pit next to has a big Honda and we can barely hear it walking by it..

I have a 3500 on my work truck and it's awesome. On eco mode it's just above a whisper. I hear the new Predator is quiet also but I want to hear one....but the reliability of the Honda is well worth that price.

I think you could get away with a 3500 unit..

I'll have to go back and look, but we installed some window units in some of our utility buildings that were smaller than the 10,000 btu because of that 3600 watt start up just in case we needed to run them off our trucks for whatever reason. I wanna say they are somewhere around 7500 btu or maybe smaller and they do a heck of a job. The buildings are concrete so they stay 75 deg when it's triple digits outside....but something like a 7500 btu unit, you could hang meat in a small trailer.

Some guy (snowbird) just put 2 up for sale made out of 5 gallon buckets...all the responses from the locals are laced with laughter and ridicule. I'd imagine something like that may work in Wisconsin. Here you'd just end up with a high speed bucket of water.

You guys are killing me with all the camping trailer stuff. I’m looking at converting a cargo trailer some day. Don’t really need AC, but it would be nice. Anything would be an upgrade from this. It can get pretty cozy in the back of the truck with mama.61B9BBA7-F256-4455-AA7F-A8F7F0759531.jpg

Everyone has different ideas. I subscribe to a bunch of different pages for everything camping. Campers, trailers, buses, vans...just scouring for ideas. There is some head scratching like "wtf were they thinking?". Gotta read past the drama and bs, but I've either picked up or re-affirmed some ideas that are pretty cool.
