Although I'm not new to Taco's, this is my first posting. My first Taco was a 1980, a 4x4 which I finally sold after 300K+ miles. My present Taco is a 2009 which now has 92K+ miles and still running like new. I do have a question for any electrical / lighting wizards or anyone else who cares to jump in. My front amber turn signal lights seem to be burning through the lenses. Is this a Gen 2 problem? Should I use different bulbs when I get new lenses? I have done some small cosmetic mods, since I bought her, but nothing to the lights. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanx

Welcome to the forum! I had family that lived in Amarillo for a bit... smells like money out that way.

Check out this thread regarding the melting DTRL (Day Time Running Light) lenses.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/toyota-recall-melting-dtrls.336066/
I had mine replaced in October of 2015, right at the end of the TSB (Toyota Service Buliten... not a "recall"). The new headlight assemblies have a different part number and the DTRL lense is glass now. No issues with them since having them replaced.

Here is another option for taking care of those pesky melting DTRL lenses that doesn't require entire new assemblies.
