Nothing obvious that’s why I am asking here. Two gas tanks ago it seemed like it eat it fast. So last tank I checked it and say it was 98 miles to the light came on. Put 16 gallons in and from my house to Galveston yesterday it is 95 round trip and it s just under a quarter tank left. No new modes or anything. I will fill up at a different place. I always go HEB.

 

Same thing happened to me when I put my current tires on, feel your pain.






Start at your airbox, check the filter, flow etc.. If thats good move on to others.. Obviously something got blocked or clogged, now you get to play the game of Clue®

Yes, in the tank and if I recall correctly, it's a little sock filter. The filter is supposed to be non-servicable, which is incredibly short-sighted to me. It's going to get dirty and clogged, like any other filter media, so it needs maintenance sooner than later.

One of the benefits of upgrading the OEM fuel pump is being able to move the filter out of the tank, and using easily replaceable ones. I have a DW255 fuel pump and a K&N fuel filter relocated to my frame rail.

With that kind of mpg loss, I'd pull the spark plugs regardless of their age and at least do a visual inspection. What they look like will indicate whether or not something is wrong.

Are you using the same grade of gasoline from the same station? It's a bit of a stretch, but it's worth eliminating that as a variable.

@beetlevegas Here is another thought, before you tear everything apart. Especially is you recently changed tires. tread width overall has a huge impact. I know from Prius stock, vs. "touring" tires. My Kia Niro Hybrid boasts 46 mpg typical. Get a stock one with skinny tires? 52 mpg!

Being sneaky... just getting ready for the start of my new job. Means working at Enterprise is on the count down.

Tomorrow I should have the final piece of painted trim back in the truck. Next time I make it up to C&C (shooting for November) you guys will have to check it out. Looks much better in person.


Plus Thursday, truck is getting detailed and I'm getting some professional pics done and a video. Been waiting for this for sometime

I have not seen this before. May have to look into that.

I have had my tires since Harvey. Bought 4 days before u guys got hit. Tires look good. I check the pressure, which I was hopping. I was at 16 mpg before my tires and dropped to 13 am have been there since.

Ya I have been using the same grade but now thinking about It i filled up yesterday at a different place. I always do HEB but I used a place called Murphy’s

Shit I hit 100k yesterday and this now. And I almost totaled it yesterday, laid cut me off and had to lock up. Almost T-boned her in her suburban. I don’t know to put videos on here, have it on my dash cam.

Tires are from last September

But I haven’t had problems until now. I don’t know about here but I would help and put orders in for gas at Lexus. For Vegas there was 3 companies and they would go to shell and the mom and pops. That’s why I hate gas. U never really know what u are getting. We had a couple cars come in with bad gas from a shell I would buy from. Never went there again.
