So after installing a Truxedo Lo Pro soft tonneau I wanted some light in there to see at night. Went back and forth between matt gecko led's and the OEM lights. Saw this at harbor freight and honestly for the money this seems like a no brainer. Magnet holds it right by the tailgate driving around town so far. It takes 3 AA batteries. When it gets dark I will take a pic or two and post it later. Since it mounts with a magnet I figure I can move it under the hood if I need to get under there at night.

Easy weekend, I installed the TVD glove box, shifter, and sill plate decals. As well as the MESO V4 turn signals. Really cool good people are making great products for our Tacomas.

Looks great. What color did you get for the sill plates? Your taco is cement, right?

Thanks Dave. If that's all it is then it's no big deal. I heard folks were drilling and relocating one of the holes in the rack itself and thought the hole in the rack may have been put in the wrong location. Your explanation makes perfect sense to me now. As long as the threads aren't ripped out its all good. Appreciate the reply!:thumbsup:

Not a big fan of Prinsu racks. Not that there is anything wrong with them and I'm not dissing anyone that has one I just don't care for the look. I just like the look of the Toyota OEM rack along with a traditional basket much better.
It's all about making it my own and what I'D be happy with.
I will however check out that thread. Knowledge is power and it is possible to teach an old dog new tricks. Thanks for the info Dave!

I’ve had my Tacoma for a little over a month and took care of some of the more minor mods like AC drain, center console and glove box organizers, removed the chrome badges and installed Meso turn signals. I also replaced my headlight bulbs with the XenonDepot Xtreme led pro’s. I drive in the dark a lot and these were a great improvement! And today I finally got to install my Truxedo tonneau cover and KB VooDoo high rise rack for my bikes. Next weekend should be remote start, Meso map lights and reflective Tacoma TVDvinyldecals on the tailgate. 16FAAE80-21C8-410D-9C41-69D9329D75DC.jpg

Had time this weekend to get the wiring harness’s made for the new truck and installed with a few things like the X-power Group 31 Battery, ARB Air Comp (homemade mount), Baja Designs Squadron Sport-R ditch lights, Switch-Pro SP-9100, Power Tray, Blue Sea Power for the bed and SDHQ Switch face.
I regret not buying a switch-pro for my 2016. Never again will I use basic switches after seeing the capabilities and simplicity of this little unit.
Still have some minor things to address/clean up under the hood like adding the correct 30amp terminal strip to the power tray and covering a few other wires near the air comp for when the roof light gets put on the Prinsu. Power cable to switch pro is also going to get replaced and re-routed.
For the future I need to run power back to the bed for the Blue Sea 12v socket, USB, Volt Meter and Baja Designs push button Dome light that will be added under my RCI rack when it comes in.
So far I’m feeling a lot more confident with this “build” after learning a lot of things I thought I needed and didn’t and how to simply my build to suit my needs on the new truck. I no longer have wiring anxiety when I want to add an accessory like I had with my last rig, haha.
