Made my own out of .25 in flat bar I had and some shitty 1/2 orileys u bolts. I will be re making them with 3/8 and step up to 5/8 u bolts it was just to get it mobile. The problem I was having is all the after market plates are way wider then needed so the ubolts dont have positive contact on the sides of the axle.

1st gen u bolts only need to be 3 in on the Id. Other wise they only contact it on the bottom of the bolt.

Hmm. This is an interesting idea.. I have like 8 sets of 2nd gen leaf springs I was going to scrap. Maybe I’ll experiment with the 02s old leafs

I replaced mine a few years ago... sawzall, chisel, and a bfh. Cut it in a few pieces then hammer and chisel it out. Put a greasable bolt back in there before everything seizes back up.

Back to the topic of "What have you done to your tacoma today?"

I tested out traction with BFG AT KO2's on a the steepest county road in the country - washboard dirt road that had a layer of ice under 6" of fresh powder. This Subaru didn't make it. After I took the picture, I ended up sliding back 20 feet completely out of control. I then put the chains on my truck, locked the rear diff and had no problems.

Just measured on compression its 2inches shy of the OEM bump stops, on the drop its 13.75. from top spring to bottom of frame, in front of bump stop. I have a feeling my shocks are limiting my down travel though.* edit -still have 3 inches of shock travel! $$

The leafs are different thickness in the packs. I have 3-1/4 and 2-3/8 is what I used. All dog eared and OEM shims between each leaf, fresh paint and never seize applied each layer. Later in the month after I'm satisfied 100% I will take them apart and drill each end for the oem teflon pads along with fresh spring keepers bushings and t100 shackles.

Stupid question: Are the RearDiff Lock and Clutch bypass switches supposed to light up with the headlight switch on...?

Only 4x4 V8 ive seen was a custom oil pan and notched crossmember. Exhaust was routed up to the front by the radiator.

The oil pan CX makes is only for the prerunner.

Thats not bad. That would be the most I'd pay.

Oh I’m sure, they just don’t have many pictures, and they don’t State what the title is (which I’m sure you don’t care about as long as the frames straight).

Maybe it’s fine, I dunno. I’ll keep watching
