I don't think it's too bad in black, but the chrome looks awful.

I think they are marketing it more towards full size rigs, which I think is a smart business decision given that neither GFC or Vagabond is really in that space yet. I know GFC made one, but I think that’s it

    Drifter....ARRIVED!
We have a Vagabond Drifter on order. The AT Summit pricing seems high relatively speaking (though they are more established) and I think they are a little behind some of the others time wise in terms of their development of this particular type of product. Will be interesting so to see what they actually deliver. I haven't heard of anyone ordering from them either. Probably best to go directly to the source.

I’m sure I’ve harped on it before but one of the big advantages to a wedge camper like the Drifter is set up/take down time is so minimal. So when you get woken up at 11PM getting knocked around by the wind you can pack up and leave in under 2 minutes. Total time was probably more like 45 seconds, and that’s from when I got my pants on to when I turned my truck on.

I never timed myself but it probably took 10 minutes to stow my old CVT clam shell tent and I imagine the Flippac or Habitat would be only marginally better.

It will be just me and my big pup, so room will not be an issue. For me, the selling point is set up/take down time ( though marginal over the Habitat), less things to go wrong (have a buddy whose Nemo tent material has been problematic with leaks), and time tested product, thicker wall materiel, and customer support over the Vagabond

Looked at and compared all, or most, the available campers at the PNW Overland Rally this summer. Talked extensively with Mario at the AT booth. Ended up ordering through Mule Outfitters in Isaquah

What makes you think customer support will be better with an AT over a Vagabond? I’m asking an honest question. I bought and already have a Go Fast so I have no horse in that race but Vagabond guys seem solid... I know Graeme, Wiley, and Ross have gone above and beyond anyone expectations at GFC, curious why you wouldn’t think Vagabond would be similar.

Not sure about time tested either. Wasn’t the Drifter around way before the Summit??

I really liked the Vagabond guys as well. Nothing against them or their company personally, or historically....have heard NOTHING against them. I just have friends with AT who personally attest to them standing by the product...and no friends with a Vagabond. As for time tested, I refer to using the Habitat base for the Summit...it has been around for a bit. Not sure the time factor with the Drifter

I wasn’t talking about the GFC. I was just saying I have a GFC so i don’t have an opinion on AT vs Vagabond. Just curious why you think AT’s customer service would be better than Vagabonds?

Got it, you spread your answer out over a couple posts. My bad

How long has the “drifter” in concept been around? Anyone know? V1?

    customer support? haha

guess you dont know many people that have had a habitat. and it would make sense since there are not that many out there even though they are a "time tested product"

Also you expect the tent to be any better on the summit? It still looked like nemo to me.

But hey, you already have one on order, I hope it works out fine and you love using it. Just interesting reasons for picking them over gfc or vagabond.
