Since the transactions would be separate of each other, two invoices would be generated which renders the manufacturer rebate ineligible.

This is YMMV...there have been times in the past where I've ordered to sets of two but received one invoice in the e-mail. So I was able to get the manufacture's rebates in addition to the sic eBay deal.
