It’s adjusted the highest I can get it to go. I can get the arm to go higher but the mirror won’t pivot any further down. For me to see more clearly the mirror would be pointing at the roof. I’m just a tall guy. 6’2” and my head rubs the roof slightly in my most comfortable seating position.

In some auto markets, the Hilux is the number 1 selling vehicle. The Tacoma is still a "cult following" type vehicle.

Didn't read any of this, but I'll just assume you're all agreeing the Hilux power seats should bolt straight into my 3rd Gen.. time to ebay those hotrods!

Because there are no offroad tracks/locations where I live and the sport handles better for hauling on roads. pretty obvious

Jeez, how often you people adjusting your seats?

I set mine and it's done, no need to move them around as I don't change in height.

My RAV4 has power seats, they worked 5 years ago when I got it... Haven't a clue if they still work cause I don't adjust them.

    I'm indifferent.

My wife and I use the same seat settings so the seat never moves. Power seats would never be used by us but I find it more annoying out of principal they don't have power. My 20 year old ford had power seats... It's kind of like the rear drums, the truck doesn't need disc brakes but out of principal it should have them, after all it's 2018.

I was reading up on the drums, seems they do it to prevent horrible grinding sounds when sand and dirt get on the rotors.

You can always swap to 4runner discs if you really want them though.

Ya I read a thread somewhere about the conversion. With so much brake bias up front, I'll likely upgrade the front brakes before I ever touch the rear.

Same. I wouldn't say I hate them, but I feel like I can never quite get it right with my adjustments. Always a little too close or a little too far away.

That would be more fitting of a manual seat description as it has fixed stops, whereas the power seats can stop anywhere.

    Mostly stuff I built.

Easy answer the Hilux is a global market vehicle and has a higher volume of sales than the single market Tacoma.

Thats by choice though, Toyota sold the Hilux in the US for 27 years.

I'm on my 2nd 3rd gen and I can care less for power seats, what I really like is the power rear slide glass, that's just awesome and useful.
