I’m going to wait until 1.05 I just wanted to make sure that I didn’t only have 1 tune file that would have been overwritten by the dealer.

I’m thinking of the old superchips and diablosport tuners where you only had 1 tune available.

Stupid question: How do I tell which version of 1.04 I have? Might possibly be in the same boat as Slick, truck is going to the dealer for it's 5k maintenance in a few days, and they'd already scheduled looking at/trying to do the TSBs since it was before I bought the tune. Or should I just flash back to stock before I take it in and try to get the TSBs?

You would just have regular 1.04. I think the only way to get 1.04r is to email Matt.
I would have flashed back but I didn’t want to the night before and change how bad the truck was acting then they not do the tsb

I flashed the TSB right over 1.04 and it was fine. Once you get it back, plug in your tactrix and run the identification on the flasher tool and it should show the 04b04 calibration (if auto). If it doesnt show that, then they didnt flash the tsb.

agreed ! It may be a while though , we just became a wet county 2 years ago here in Arkansas . The surrounding counties here in the south are still dry from prohibition lol. I imagine Arkansas may legalize weed by the year 2100 or so ?

I did the same, bought a shift sense pro, cai, exhaust and then in July I got my Ovtune. I am running 1.04 93 octane.
I live in Portland Oregon area and drive 30 miles each way to work, mostly freeway. Coming out of downtown going south on I5 there is about 5 miles of 6% or better grade up hill. With OVTune I can hold 4th gear while controlling my speed from about 45 mph up to 60+ and back down to 50 with out the transmission shifting to 5th gear. I am also able to do the same on simi flat highway as well.
This is by far the most impressive mod that I have done to my truck. No complaints, waiting patiently for 1.05, I know it will be worth the wait!
Mat has done us a great service and I grateful that I was able to buy his product.
    Cheers!

O really. I've wondered about mine with the occasional "stumble or missing" of the engine.

What's the born on date for yours? Mine is November 2016

Just got my truck home and checked it. The dealer said it was updated but it didn’t say so on my bill so I was going to be pissed if it wasn’t.
I know it’s really not going to matter once 1.05 is out but I thought this would definitely help get a good base. Maybe I’m wrong idk.

That stumble/misfire feeling is a symptom of the poor fuel mapping mixed with low rpms. OVtune says he fixed this with his 1.05 update coming out soon

I'm trying not to be 'that guy' who gives out info when it isn't ready and is being worked on.

We have some things to work on but it's better than 1.04 in terms of driveability.

Has it been said if s-mode will still go to 4th or will it go to the current gear?
