I have not tried this, but I would take a piece of the self adhesive black velcro(the fuzzy side) and cut a thin strip and stick it to the outside of the knob, along the edge that gets pushed into the hole. That should keep the light from bleeding around the edge.

These look amazing and will match my triple black shift knob to the T!

Just preordered a set along with a key fob case I been wanting forever.

Any idea when the knobs will be released?? Thanks a bunch, as always.

@ChadsPride - AJT website shows the estimated delivery date for the pre-orders is 10/21/18 (in case you didn't see that yet). I ordered some key fobs just before these dropped. I wish I had waited a few weeks so I could have ordered these as well! How do you like the AJT shift knob paired with the interior blackout? And how do you like the battery clamp? I'm just over here trying to throw some more money at my truck...

Just got my knobs today. I preordered them a few weeks ago. I sanded the 4x4 knob down 1/8" as well. These are bitchen!15396375858607194373761546596718.jpg

Those things are killer. After filing down the 4x4 knob, does it basically sit flush? It looks like it's seated well in the photo you posted--much better than in the video on the AJT website with the stock knob.

It still sticks out a bit. If I removed any more I'd be afraid I wouldnt be able to press in the detent to get into 4 lo.15396395294785128402582537174035.jpg 15396395863013881742439217612761.jpg 15396396359373587715586383022143.jpgyou have to also remove a bit of the black plastic stops in the knob so it can slide further onto the shaft.

Makes sense about pressing the knob in, and it doesn't really look like it sticks out that much anymore. Your photos are quality! The angled ones show the depth on the 4x4 well and the comparison of the two is perfect for showing how much you trimmed off. Thanks for posting them up! I'll be ordering some tonight!

@ChadsPride According to the website, the clear indicator lights up the same as OEM, but there are no photos of it yet. Maybe @Roostfactor can post some up once it gets darker...

Look what the mailman brought. I went with three only and black screws. These are high quality! Thanks AJT Design!
