2500 is golden! Did he mention possibly going to single turbo? I wonder how hard it would be to do a twin scroll setup with something like a GTX3076R or a Borg Warner. Wouldn't get a V-Band flange with that but a twin scroll would be worth it for faster turbo response.

The plan is twin turbo. You'll have to talk with @OVTune about why not single

I can't tell if you're just trolling, but making boost from 500 rpm might be a tall order.

500 rpm / 2 full turns of crank (720°) to get all 6 cylinders through 4 strokes = 250 power strokes per minute for the engine.

Each side (turbo) will only see half of those power events, so 125 per minute from 3 cylinders. 3500cc/2 = 1750cc. That's 1750cc firing 125 times per minute.

Assuming %100 volumetric efficiency (optimistic) = 218,750cc of air taken in, or just shy of 7.75CFM. Better be an itsy bitsy turbo! And it would probably choke itself out by 3500rpm where the engine's taking a little over 54CFM.

I dont know the formula to figure out exactly how much expanded hot exhaust air is coming out, which actually drives the turbo, but those numbers paint the picture well enough.

Disclaimer my math could be completely wrong.

Not trolling, wishful thinking. I think we can all agree this truck needs power on the bottom end, not the top. I know you can only go so low but the lower the better with this truck

I'm with you on that, I dont typically rev past 3500, maybe sometimes in 2nd, and the only time I feel it's lacking is down low. I'd be pretty happy with some more grunt at 1500

I use the whole rev range. This truck feels a bit like an RX-8, in that you have no power unless you rev the piss out of it. Even then, I find it lacking. Hopefully these turbos are a game changer from about idle, up!

Well haven't heard much updated info on the TT kit.... so here's the final prototype Boost/AFR gauge pods ready to test:D (Don't mind the raw finish, they just came out of the printer)
I really like the location.. but now need to test out the OLED screens. Let me know your guy's thoughts.
and yes.... I know an Analog dial gauge is ideal, but it just doesn't fit on the dash anywhere
    [IMG]

Hollowed out inside for the gauge

    and the dash is symmetrical!

Its getting bad, Im almost broke.
I like. It might be a pain in the ass, but my eyes are super sensitive at night. Please make sure the OLED screen has dimmable / brightness adjustments on them.

Great work! Looking forward to more updates!

Good point. Dimming at night is an excellent idea for everyone I'd think. I'd certainly appreciate it.

Holy cow this thread got inundated with keyboard warriors in a hurry. Nothing like forced induction debates to make grown men slapfight. Except maybe Glock vs Sig.

If you go with Aem gauge, it adjusts to the ambient light very well. No need for dimmer

I like them, question though is it just me or are they sloping maybe 5° down to the outside?

    Edit- talking about the cutouts

Oled screens shouldn't be an issue with brightness, as long as the background is black and only the numbers showing are white or colored, everything else would be completely black unlike non oleds and their backlighting.

I am not sure I will ever get the turbos, but I like these housings.
Could these be used, (with a slightly different cutout), for switches? I don't have any free space under the AC controls or overhead, I used up the 3 spaces available in the driver's side cubby, and I do not like the idea of cutting into my center console.
But these would be about perfect for the 2 more switches I'd like for LED bars.
