Hey guys and gals, I just ordered a pair of Rigid Radiance light pods with Amber backlight. Rather than running 2 seperate switches, I'd like to run the main lamps to the OEM fog light switch and the Amber back light to the DRL switch. Any ideas on how to wire this? There's 3 wires on the DRL harness, white/black stripe, blue and green. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

I wired mine into the running lights not the DRLs, that way they are on during the night, not just the day time. I’d help, but my Truck is in the shop.

That’s what I’d proabbly do as well, wire the amber backlight into the “constant” Oem DRL near the bulb. Turns on whenever they are on, but not when that side is being used as a blinker.

If you want the Oem fog wiring to turn on the led bar, you will probably have to use the Oem harness as simply a “switch”. Basically a standalone harness drawing power from the battery, but instead of an aftermarket switch turning the relay on, it will use the power from the Oem fog lights to activate the relay.
Only connecting into one side of the fog light h11 is required

Sweet, I picked up some adapters to convert from the typical red and black to a h11 adapter. The last of 3 wires is the positive for the Amber back lit lights. Could I just tap that into a DRL positive wire? Or would I need diodes and relays etc. The light pods are ment to run between 9v-15v.

Thanks for the reply, did you just splice and wire to the existing running wire?

Pretty much. I traced out the wires and tapped in for the backlight on both my radiance bars and the LEDs in the grill.

Nothing crazy has happened in that time period? One of the Toyota mechanics was saying something about adding another relay and diode or else the truck would give a CEL.
