Just put a deposit down on an '18 Taco TRD OFF Road 4x4 Manual that had a MSRP of $37,315 that I'm getting through Costco for $33,234.00. Seems like a good deal from what I'm reading here.

I’d be happy if I could find an 18 off road manual, but that seems like a decent price, especially if you’d rather manual.

Got A dealer to match the price that another posted in this forum for Freeman Toyota down in Santa Rosa for a 2018 DcSB Trd OR for 33,922 with an original Quoted OTD price for 40,305. Not sure what the MSRP was before but going hopefully to look at one this friday.

Oddly they do make 2wd OR models.....seems a waste since that money could be used on better aftermarket parts. IIRC the 4x4 option is about 3-4k and the or package was about the same.

My dclb or w premium & tech (they all come w tow pkg) was about 46.
There are no deals to be had in socal, the trucks sell themselves. I was lucky to be able to order exactly what I wanted......dclb or prem/tech, fwiw imo the jbl audio isn't worth it. I do like the bsm, heated seats, moon roof, power rear window, can't forget the bed mat!

I just leased a 2018 Magnetic Gray TRD Sport DCSB 4x4 (w/ Tech Package, predator tube steps, mud flaps, door edge guards, and all weather floor liner/door sill protector).

    $39,306 MSRP
36 month lease (through U.S. Bank, which has a high 75% residual for this particular trim and includes GAP insurance).
10k miles per year (this is a second car for me, I have a Bolt that I commute in).
    $0 down, $0 drive offs
35 monthly payments of $339+tax ($369 with Orange County, CA tax).

This is my first truck so I wanted to give it an extend trial before paying all of that CA sales tax on it. At the end of the lease, I'll either buy it or sell it and pocket difference between sale price and residual (or walk away if values plummet for some reason). I really wanted it in Blazing Blue Metallic or Cement, but couldn't pass up on this deal and I really like this color in person.

@Thegenerik1 How did you get such a low quote from Freeman? I emailed them inquiring about a Taco within $200-300 of the one I’m hunting for and they gave me a quote for around $2500 off? I figure if a dealership in CA can knock $5k-6k off with no issues, I can for sure use that to leverage a local TX dealership for that much of a discount or more. I’m going for a TRD OR DCLB w/ tech package in Cement for around $41.5k. I’m not paying more than $35k....I’m confident some dealer will do it now that there are more 2019s on the lot than 18s...

    Thanks

Which freeman dealer did you get a quote from, there is the CA one and TX one I believe. The one here in CA is very well priced, all I did is ask for a quote on their site. A couple days later I said my local dealer would match and they dropped another 500 lower. Then I used that lower quote to get mine locally. Never call or set foot in the dealers until I had the price I wanted.

That’s a very competitive quote. Premium adds 3k to MSRP and your quote is only 2k more then my truck. I only have Tech package, I didn’t want the premium.

Oh I’m 100% on board with not calling or stepping into the dealership. I definitely emailed the one in Santa Rosa. Here is a screenshot of what I was offered, doesn’t even look like yours:

    623C2780-34F0-4C40-AB1C-2D32F294F5ED.jpg
The only major difference between the one I’m hunting for and the one Freeman has is the premium package which I don’t want. Maybe I’m off base with this opinion, but I figured they would be discounting an inferno orange quickly since it doesn’t seem to be a highly sought after color.

Try calling them directly. I got the best price doing that from freeman. My 19 with the same options was 1k less

So, after looking through a bunch of these posts, it looks like you (and I) are doing well if you can get ~$4,500 off of the MSRP of a 4x4 Off Road Double Cab. Does that sound about right?
