Headers or seat covers

Ok guys I have a dilema.... I cant decide what to buy next. I know tough deal right?

Ok so here is a little info:
I tow jet skis and go to river and lakes pretty often.
I plan on getting a travel trailer
I take dog(s) on trips with me.

I dont know whether to try to get more HP or to get the seats covered.

Next issue do I get Doug Thorley or JBA ? They have to be the shorties, I need to stay street legal in CA.

Or Wet Okales or cover kings? Then grey or charcoal with a silver 05 tacoma?

Decisions Decisions...... Help me out!!!!!!!!!

 

Definitely the seat covers...I'd say those wet okoles are the way to go, plus as stated above they'll liven up the interior. I hope to buy some soon.

 

Wet okoles. black outside and charcoal inside. With your activites and the dog, you might want to protect the interior before you look at performance mods. Interior work can be expensive if you ever have to fix or replace something.

 

Headers. You can mess up the seats now and then cover them up later.

 

Yea but think if you protect them now, when you go to trade it in or sell it you can take those covers off and have practically perfect seats and either sell those covers or keep them to put on another tacoma.

My truck's 4 years old, I have 2 kids and the seats look like new. Resolve fabric cleaner works wonders... HEADERS MY FRIEND!

 

I love my Wet Okoles... My dogs and my girlfriends kids can be hard on the interior and they are easy to clean up and look and fit very nice....

 

Did I mention my truck is 5 yrs old. The interior is still in prretty good I would say almost mint condition. It would definately be the look I would be going for with the Okales. As far as performance if you check out my build you would see the additions I already have, this would be a one up. Good feedback tho. Keep it coming!!!
Those of you that say headers.... Which brand? Any info regarding them? HP, Torque? Anything?

 

Who cares about seat covers. Get the doug thorley short headers!

 

Add another vote for seat covers. I'm super pleased with my Wet Okole covers. This should have been my first purchase

Get the Doug Thorley Headers!! Who cares about the seat covers, you can always clean them for the time being.

 

Newbie here with a question. Do the Wet Okole covers breath at all; or does perspiration build up? Thanks.

 

wet okoles blow, they don't hold up in heavily sunny conditions and will generate the worst swap ass, sweat crack you've ever had, and on a daily basis. Imagine sitting on a hunk of neoprene in the heat...exactly.

If you want some good seat covers, check out marathon seat covers, they're usa made in MT i think and they are made from some sort of super duty cordura nylon. These are no joke. Have them in my taco and fj fit like a condom and hold up to the dogs like no other. Fck headers, the taco engine is plenty good for what you do and as soon as you start fcking with the engine the longevity of the truck goes down.

Wet Okole's are wetsuit material. They do not breath, they do not allow water to pass through them (unless you puncture them). They will get you a bit sweaty at times.... but not much worse than leather will I've found.

Also, after over a year of sitting outside in the AZ sun with no front windshield cover or anything... my wet okoles didn't fade a lick, didn't have any signs of wear or abuse, and held up like they were new. So, dunno what to say about that one lol. I never even put the treatment I got with them on there either, never washed them or anything.
