You could easily relocate that on the stock bumper.

May have to crawl under and give it a look. Didn’t really think to look when I pulled the spare out from underneath and wrapped up the chain..

I did it for mine. I put it just to the left of the left license plate light.

Went out on two trails last Saturday, traffic wasn't too bad at all given the weather.

Made it 1/2 way up the back side of Daniel before backing out. Was washed out enough that I wasn't feeling the "just send it" attitude.

Come on out with me, I don't subscribe to the send it Billy attitude. We can get you up without breaking/damage.

I like the sound of that. I think my limiting factors will be lack of armor and open open. I think both of those can be skirted with some careful lines.

Just take your time and pick good lines. I’ve made it up several times now...all stock w/decent tires. No armor, but I do have a rear locker.

You've seen where your shorter wheel base is beneficial though.

Nice. This weekend cannot come soon enough.

    True true.

Working out a packing list now for truck camping. I am going to try to sleep under the softopper. So first things first is reseal all the seams and water tight it as best as it can get.

You can make it up these trails no problem. I personally don't put anyone where they aren't comfortable. We took a stock TJ out last weekend the 3 of us all took different lines through the different trails we hit. I like taking/doing the hardest possible. The guy in the TJ took the easy routes and where needed we guided him through just fine none of us peer pressured him intto doing something he wasn't comfortable. Go with a group that doesn't pressure you to do something you aren't comfortable with but will guide and encourage you through the obstacles.

SWB is a big advantage to what you'll be able to do out there! There are a lot of obstacles I can't do because of HC problems that I bet you could just walk right over and not even get a scratch on the frame.

You've also taken some of the harder lines with nothing but decent tires!

Bout to see what this sucker can do for reals. What I did at gulches wasn't super technical but it was definitely fun and I learned a lot, so I think URE will be a good playground for me to gain experience. Just gotta put my game face on and point the truck in the right direction.

As they say, most stock vehicles will outperform what the typical owner can do.

So I should retract my previous statement and say that "I" will be the limiting factor. :anonymous:

I haven't been to gulches but from the pics I don't think URE will be any harder or more challenging than gulches. Also before I started putting armor on my truck I was a lot more cautious about my lines and what obstacles I would try. I was nervous as hell going up Dickey with no armor. Besides needing a pull up one part I made it without a scratch. Now that I've gotten some armor I want to really test what the truck is capable of so I'm slowly trying harder and harder lines and obstacles, doing the trails in different directions, sure I'll send it but that is my style. One thing I learned is everyone has different styles of wheeling and aggressiveness on the trails. Ride your own ride, I don't expect anyone to do what I do, follow me, nor would I push them to.
