Haha, I don't mess around, once the head gasket let go it was all bets off, shits gonna be brand new. Just found out my other friends with Z's are going to 240sx rear suspension so I get their springs and differentials with true tracs as well as turbo axles and hubs. I'm going for rock solid grand tourer, I want something I can rage for fun but still reliably drive across states.

 

quite a few trucks from many brands use side specific leafs. its to avoid axle wrap

 

Going back to the talk of leafsprings, I made a Roman Ballista out of a recall'd 2nd Gen leaves about a year ago with some wooden studs, a 3 ton cable winch, and some aircraft wire. It shot 1/2 EMT Conduit fifty yards.

We almost killed someone with it when the wood snapped under the pressure of the leaf.

No, that's not me. We used the fog lights on the front of my truck to light up the hill.

damnit dont give me ideas. i have 8 sets of 2nd gen leafs in my back yard,

 

But why?

 

i take them because toyota doesnt call them back. so instead of scrapping them i sell them to a guy who makes knives

 

so i can create defenses for my future compound.

 

When I started high school is when ebay & Amazon barely started. They were nothing back then. Paypal wasn't even around yet.

 

I posted about it on Page 971. Here's another project I worked on, got lots of funny looks on the freeway.

 

they actaully make some pretty damn good knives if you heat treat them right.

 

I also have a bent rear axle shaft from an FJ... because it amazed me that someone manged to bend the axle shaft and not damage the axle housing.
