Nothing non logical there. I nearly moved to Florida when I was 26. I don't regret not doing it per se because I was going to move with the girl I was dating and that didn't end well. I'd like to move now but I can't leave my parents..back then I would have not thought as much about them.

So much this. I have that friend who always loves to brag. The most fun was when he got tix to one of the World Series games in 2004.

Him "Haha bet you wish you were going"
Me "Sure, but that ticket is what I need to pay for my heat right now."
    Him "yeah yeah"
Me "maybe if you ever move out of your parents' house you'll understand"

I'm not saying anything's wrong with living home but in this case he's 32 at the time and just never understood having real bills for rent/mortgage and utilities. Not to mention I'd just moved in that year and the house was a basket case.

Boston and back yesterday. Left Wmass at 6-15-630am and made it to Somerville by 9:15, ride home was even easier. Took rt.2 and averaged 18.5 MPG's which is a 2 mpg bump on my previous record for a tank. Was expecting some crappy traffic but lucked out and made the day not so tough.:bananadance:

Yea I mean in today's industry for automotive repair, you're better off becoming a diesel tech and getting all the certs, especially ones that let you work on boats. Fishing boats, at least in the South, can pay good

I'll agree with this... especially the marine certs. Get a TWIC card as well.
I'd do some work on chillers aboard ships back home.
Then work in a chemical plant the next day.
It's amazing what s couple credentials will do for you.

    Morning all. Happy Tuesday...
Big wind up here last night. Probably 40-50mph gusts. Woke me up around 3 or so, and then we lost power at 4:08 this morning. The GF is flying out to a conference in DC this morning, so she needed to do her hair, finish packing, etc. So, even though we'll probably have power back later this afternoon and the refrigerators/freezers aren't at risk, I had to drag the generator out of the garage for her

Similar here but kept power. However at like 2am there was a big crash downstairs, I just figured a branch flew into the side of the house. Woke up, went down and it felt a little chilly. Then went into the kitchen and one of the 2 piece windows ( or w/e they're called, 2 windows stacked vertically, either can open) had blown in becuase I forgot to latch it last week after it was 80deg out, and the top guide is busted so it can tip inwards easily.

Lane to the first part of that statement, it was awesome to the second part of that statement. In fact I'd say the tail gunning was by far superior to the last yota run.

It wouldn't have been a big deal but I don't have an inspection sticker so I'm not keen on driving it long distances-more chances to get caught lol. Did you tailgun Seth?

My inspection sticker might or might not be expired due to not having the time to replace a faulty part, like say a charcoal canister....

I sure did. Was a great run. Wet, chilly, but awesome.

Meh, inspection stickers are just a 'fix it' ticket, right? Registration is a 'just leave it here and we'll take care of it' sort of situation and much less fun.

Glad you had fun! But I'll be taking my slot back next year :duel:

Really? I thought it was more severe than that. I know NH takes their inspections pretty seriously, and I can see a cop going as far as "It's not inspected which means it's not safe which means you can't drive it" Also mine is WAYYY expired so that doesn't help.
