I agree with you.... I hate it! Being from SC and working in the Middle East for nearly a decade, I hate the heat. I want to move farther North... The misses and I just visited Maine while I was home and we loved it. We will be buying a place somewhere in NE sometime in the next 5 years or so once she graduates from PA school as retirement/vacation/rental home.

It's a dry heat, even 107 isn't so as bad w/ no humidity.

Still sux... dry heat over here and I still hate it... but 107 of dry heat is MUCH better than 92 and 70% humidity.. When it starts approaching 115 or better, it's about the same and we had several days this past summer that were 120+. FML.

 

Good morning guys. As I plan to lurk here and "admire and acquire" ideas for my new (to me) truck, I thought I should introduce myself. Last week I bought a 2011 Silver Streak Mica TRD Sport Access Cab 6-Sp Manual from a BMW dealer in MD. They had it on their lot since mid July. It looked good and drove well, so I took it to my mechanic. He said it was like new, it has only 27,000 miles, so I bought it. So far I've replaced the dry-rotted tires, removed the nerf bars from the previous owner, and also removed the TRD stickers from the side of the bed. I'm looking at window tint, camper shells, and maybe a non-faux-scooped hood swap. I like the low-profile look. Any suggestions for must-do mods (keeping it as a good daily driver inside the beltway)?

My favorite general trio is head unit, weather techs, and seat covers. Those three make the biggest difference in day-to-day driving for me.

My 2 favorite truck specific add-ons would be the truck cap and all terrain tires.
