bigger truck

I want a bigger truck. anyone else?

I love my truck, it's great for me and my gf, or one friend, but as soon as you try and put 3 people in it, it's hell.

I don't want a newer tacoma, because I personally don't think they are worth the money, I don't want my truck in a double cab, because I need more than a 4 foot bed, and an F-150 is gona get real bad gas mileage.

I don't think they will be worth the money either, toyota needs to decide to either make better trucks again, or lower their prices a lot. From what I hear it's gona be a while too!

 

Well since you already have a nice truck, why not think about getting a nice car? That way you have your truck for off roading and hauling and a nice car for gas mileage and traveling or going out when you have three people? Just a suggestion unless you absolutely want another truck.

 

Not to go AWOL from TW by any means... as I love my Taco just as much as almost anyone here... But, I too have been thinking about a bigger truck too.

Last month, I went looking at F-250 SuperDuty TurboDiesels... However, I was disappointed by sticker price... So, I turned to used SuperDutys. While they all suited my prices better... we ended up seeing this car:




... and we bought it instead. LOL

 

I've been looking into the super duty's too, pretty nice trucks, that's def an option when I can afford one.
I have a car, but it's an 89 5.0L mustang, so the gas mileage is horrible haha.
and It needs a bit of work right now.

Yea... It was BS when I wanted one though. Everyone kept asking me - what are you hauling, what are you hauling , what are you hauling (when I wasn't planning on hauling anything really - don't own a boat or a camper). I retorted: "I plan on hauling ass."

I'd say suck it up and buy a new tacoma. I like f150's but I'd rather have a tundra.

 

I used to own a Nissan Titan 4x4 (before the Taco)... I loved that truck, but with my commute - I couldn't afford to keep filling it up. That was the only drawback.

 

If money and gas wasn't a concern, I'd have a full size. I completely agree with you on the "more than 2 people" comment. I took 5 adults from KS to CO in my Tacoma, and I wished that I had an F-150. And that was sitting in the front seat! The Tacoma is a great MID-size, but yes, a full-size would be nice.

 

Any full size truck you get will suck gas. My buddie has a newer body style GM Silverado and he gets in the very low 20's I think. Other than going with a diesel, your pretty much up the creek in terms of gas mileage.

 

I'd take very low 20's in my Tacoma, consistently.

 

I think the f250 and f350 look bad ass compared to chevy and dodge.

 

i would go with an f250 crewcab. they look sick and dont get to bad of gas mileage for their size
