    Thanks for the concern.

Looks exactly like my Tuff Stuff Delta tent without the logo...got it for $800 cash at their warehouse down here about 2 hours from where I live. $500 is a great deal if it's in good condition, which is seems to be. I love mine, they're really comfortable.

Sorry, but "comfortable" and "RTT" do not corrolate.

Maybe I should have said 'relative to sleeping in a ground tent'. At least in the ground tent I used to use, a backpacking tent. Great for backpacking, not for camping...especially in inclement weather.

The RTT has a 4 inch memory foam mattress in it so yes, it is very comfortable...for camping.

I disagree. Best tent I've ever slept in. Super comfortable. Why I live in mine fore 2weeks straight every year. Plus other trips.

I dunno if I could do one 2 weeks straight, unless I was traveling. If I was just going camping/ hunting for an extended amount of time I’d have to have my camper.

Which is just a tent on wheels.

Did alot the last few days and still have more to do. Installed 3 degree shims to hopefully eliminate some driveshaft vibes. Installed a teflon liner in between the leafs to eliminate squeaking, which so far they work just with me jumping on the tailgate. Installed new poly bushings in the frame for the shackles, and 1 of the leaf bushings.(Long story, but just dont buy cheap aftermarket leafs) I painted the brake drums, and spot painted the frame in preperation for a fluid film application soon. Oh, and I installed a diff breather kit that I had laying around. Doubt Ill ever see water past the hubs but it was like $15.1015181917.jpg1016180935.jpg 1016180904.jpg
Still have to apply fluid film to as much as the truck as 3 cans will get me. I have pads and rotors to go up front, and I want to paint some of the suspension parts up there. Speaking of suspension, those shims lifted my rear end up some more to add to the rake that I already had. I may bump my 5100's up a notch to compensate up front. All in all, a good productive few days. Still gotta test drive to see if these shims will cure my issue.:fingerscrossed:

Yeah really wondering his reasoning as well. I did 2.5 weeks in a ground tent on a backpacking foam pad and semi self inflating camp pad and 2.3-4" of memory foam sounds amazing. One day, just not a priority yet.

For truck camping I used to have a queen size air mattress that I topped with a 3" memory foam topper. As comfortable as my bed at home.

Unfortunately the memory foam topper isn't meant to be rolled/unrolled and stashed in the back of a truck. Didn't last long.

You need a different hobby than just browsing KSL if that's the case haha

I dunno, I like mine more than my bed at home most of the time. Folks can tell you I slept through a passing thunderstorm in it last trip, woke up and didn't realize why the rainfly was wet. I didn't even go to bed drunk either

I just didn't have space to store anything much bigger than what I was already carrying. No cap life made me need to store all the camp gear in the cab, and when you toss a fridge in an xtra cab, you run out of space real quick. Already have plans to start moving some stuff around, but it will take time and money, and it's lower on the priority list vs maintenance and some better performing suspension. Remember that maintenance list? Crossed 0 things off.

What do you usually keep your camp gear in when it's in the bed under the cap? I use some of those heavy duty plastic boxes they sell at Costco, not the most elegant but it keeps the snow and water out.

This is an old photo but the gist is:

    Kitchen box

    Dry food and stuff storage:

    Packed like this:

So tent/mattress/pads/bag/clothes need to go in the cab.

*Edit* The soft top will let me double stack my height now, but that wasn't avail for my long trip.

Pretty much all my hobby’s include driving in some way or another, which can get awful expensive real quick.

I need a hobby I can make money doing.
