Most likely if sticking with the stock wheels. Even a tall skinny like 255/85r16 is going to require some cutting and trimming without a lift.

Luckily there are plenty of tire choices in the 265/75r16.

Thanks man! What everyone else had said is correct. Before when I was on stock suspension I bought the scs wheels with 265/70/17 zero rub (mud flaps removed), that would be max tire size without cutting or trimming anything. Hope that helps.

Installed a set of 285/75/16 LTX on my truck Friday. Coming from KM2s these ride great and are so quiet. Hoping to get many a mile out of them 9D01F369-5157-4D10-A7BC-6843C09AAE4D.jpg

    Well, crap.

I’ve been running the “older” AT3’s, and had one die this weekend. I have @Discount Tire Direct replacement certificates, so wanted to replace it.

Kinda bummed to realize they can’t get them anymore; apparently only the 4s’s.

    What would you do?

I'm sorry to hear about the tire trouble, Naveronski.

What size are you running and in what construction?

Crap I also have a fairly new set of AT3's. They only have about 20k miles on them and 0 issues so far. Hopefully I can make em last another 20k and then upgrade to dirty3's!

Full disclosure, I’d eventually like to change to 255/80/17 ST MAXX, but don’t have the cash to change everything over.

They have performed great over the past year! May consider the newer ones next year or the STMAXX

    Thank you for the details!

I checked our inventory as well as secondary supply and there are no P285/70R-17 AT3 tires to be had. That being said, if you can find one the Certificate can be utilized as a refund up to the total amount you paid per tire. You could also apply those savings towards a new set.

Can I apply the certificate as a refund on this package?
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-New-LT25...0|Rim+Diameter:17&vxp=mtr&hash=item48651b73c1

    So I’m seeing:
$832 - Four tires with certificates
    -$100 instant savings
-$140ish approx amount paid for problem tire refunded via certificate

    Yes?

I also got a new tire in August that has about 3k mi in it. Is that potentially (to the discretion of the local store) refundable, to bring my cost lower?

If all that is true, it might just be worth buying the new set of tires.

Thank you for your additional questions. The e-bay sale is a co-sponsored sale with e-bay. To qualify for the sale pricing and the mail-in manufacturer's rebate, they require you to purchase 4 tires. I do not believe the store would be able to refund you the cost of the tire you bought in August as it is a used tire, but you may want to check with them to see if they are able to work out some type of swap with you.

Please let us know the outcome,

    -Don

I went in to a store today. Really seems like they're trying to take advantage of me. My math works out much different than the employee that "helped" me.
If this is something I need to contact customer service about, that's fine.

As you'll see, there is a $63 discrepancy in the price.

Here's my math on the tires:
    dtire.jpg

    And here is theirs:

Actually, it looks like the store is giving you a very fair price. They are giving you a credit for the one tire that is a different size at $178.00 and a $100.00 trade-in allowance. The e-Bay sale is co-sponsored by e-Bay so unfortunately, we cannot off the same pricing as e-Bay through Discount Tire Direct.

If you don't agree with the pricing I would recommend speaking with the store Manager, but it appears they are trying to help you with pricing that includes life of the tire rotations and balance.

Please let us know what you decide,

    -Don

Good to read this confirmation. I'm getting exactly that installed here in a couple of hours :p. I thought I had read that they'd fit .

Does anyone have a picture with the AT3 4S mounted with the white lettering out? I have found a few pics of the LT and XLT that way and they look great. I didn't see any of the 4S, though (I may have missed it or the pics were blocked on this computer). I'm wondering if the 4S, with the less beefy sidewall, will look good, too.
