Went on an afternoon drive/hike today in the West Elks...probably could have brought the xc skis. Still a few late fall colors here, mixed with a fresh snowstorm, and dang its beautiful out! Plus, its fun to drive on some of the roads before they get buried/closed for the winter. On the dog front, I apologize he's missing a third of his teeth, and has a battle scar on his left ear from a barbed wire fence. I think he may have had even more fun than I did though!

Went up the backroads behind the Chief near Squamish. First run in the new Taco, ran great! Biffed the stock skid plate and it rattles a little now... Might need to bend something back. Took a buddy who's ranger has never been in 4low. Found some big rocks and some washouts and this view:

Damn, those are some gorgeous pics. I get so jealous of all the Taco owners out west. You got all that open space right in your backyards.

Your wrap color is gorgeous. Also is that the Canadian MT access cab off road?
... I'm very jealous of you at this moment.

We had an enormous amount of rain in KS recently. So me and a friend decided to play in the mud. I don't have photos, but that was the first time I ever got stuck in my Tacoma. Long story short, couple of redneck hunters blocked the road and didn't want to move their Chevy in fear of getting it stuck, so I had to go around them. What I didn't know was that the ditch area had deep grooves in it from farm tractors, so my truck slipped right into them. I didn't get high-centered, but there was literally ZERO traction in the mud and grass. So my buddy pulled me out, which wasn't hard at all thankfully.

The Goodyear Wranglers get caked in mud pretty quick. At least with this KS clay-infused mud. Makes it like driving on ice - all the more fun! Also makes me want to get some heavier duty tires.

    IMG_1947.jpg

Took a solid 20 minutes at the carwash. Always a good way to end the day!
