Yeah but it looks like it's only holding the bearing in, I'll take it out and see if that helps.

Nope the snap ring only holds the bearing...wtf lol. These things don't want to come out. Might have to take the assembly off entirely to work on it more easily.

 

Hammer and punch won't work?

na made to order CP pistons. you think they keep 900 dollars in pistons in stock? besides im having them ceramic coated on the face and teflon coated on the surface. because that works well in newer toyota engines

Get some channellocks out and pull on the outside of the misalignment spacer, or get two sets one on either side and twist them against eachother

 

Nope. Hammered it good from the inside with a flathead screwdriver and it still won't budge. Been looking at kings parts online and it looks like there's another ring I'm missing for the assembly anyway so I think I should just order the kit directly from them and ask what the procedure is. If I keep beating on it I'm afraid I'm going to damge what's there and then I'm screwed.

 

its going to be an expensive test bed. i want it to be different and powerful. i'll have a backup ready eventually too
