Near Mountain, Wi. On the MVUM it's route 55552. It's closed off in sections so you can't drive through the whole thing without jogging around on other roads. Still pretty cool.

It's probably a 3-4 hour ride from Madison. The Trans Wisconsin adventure trail (T.W.A.T) is closer to you, but I have no idea what it's like. I'm hoping to check that out sometime next year. Hopefully with some fellow TW members!

I'd be interested in checking that one out, the Trans Wisconsin trail! Next year, we still got a few months left this year!

    Thank you!

I'm seeing a lot about bikes on that or ATVs not a ton on trucks. I guess seeing that it's long and it's getting colder it could be a next year thing. ** Unless done in sections, which might be something since I did see a few things about some counties allowing different vehicles on sections.

It's worth looking into. One of the things that pops up when I googled it was a picture of a silver Tacoma, so somebody must know what's up

Go north to Rhinelander and about 20 minutes east is another part of The Nicolet Forest. You can pick up motor vehicle use maps at the National forest office Rhinelander.

I was in central illinois Friday (Peoria) and it was snowing with giant flakes. I’m trying to get the grass cut, Halloween decorations put in the yard, put my outdoor beer garden put up and patio furniture away. I heard reports of 7pm hitting here.
I can’t wait for winter! Soon I’ll be in the mall parking lot with my truck in 2 wheel drive teaching my daughter how to steer into a skid and how to fish tail..... ok I’m going to show her how dad can do donuts!

Do you have a way to share the route? I'm very interested in checking this out. The GPS files I've found so far don't work for some reason.

We are heading up to the pipe line this weekend. Wish we could have went up last weekend, but she had plans.....
We'll be up there Saturday, Sunday and Monday.... May have to get some waders to see how deep the water is....
    from a few years ago.....

There were some pretty deep spots last weekend. Water was the biggest obstacle that kept turning me around.

I'm hoping to get up there a few times next year maybe with a few other trucks. I went through some stuff I really shouldn't have attempted solo last Friday. I'm very impressed with the capability of this truck right now!

Have a great time this weekend! Maybe I'll see you up there sometime

Funny, I thought the spot in your pic looked familiar.. Here's a screenshot from my makeshift dash-cam video from Friday:)

Staying on the forest roads is mostly safe but going on the pipe line can get you in trouble......:)

Some of the forest roads are worse than some parts of the pipeline!

I have the MVUM maps, so I know where I am allowed to go. In case that's what you mean.
