What's the history? I see that they didn't field a team 100 years ago. Is that it? Were the uniforms more like these back then? I feel like I'm missing part of the story.

 

Sports talk radio here in Atlanta were talking about LSU's uniforms this morning. The hosts said the reason LSU
didn't field a team in 1918 was because of WW1 but most importantly that most of the team was drafted or enlisted to go fight in the war.
Im sure that a lot of sports teams sarcificed players/seasons because of the world wars, but I think its COOL that LSU is paying tribute to this "silent season".

 

The color shifting helmet is kinda cool.

 

Nah just what Country Dan said. The uniforms are more of a "in respect" thing. No names on the back to honor the ones that were lost in war whose names weren't known. Oak tree pattern, 1918 on helmet, etc etc. And they're tits.

yeah no problem! it's all pretty cool. I just like uniforms in general that show respect/honor towards something like that. I remember when Katrina hit and the LSU vs. Tulane game they had Pelicans on their jerseys and sold them off for relief funds after the game, Tulane and LSU both. I have an LSU one from that game (not the actual, but a copy)

Watching Boise ST (4-2) putting the hurt on Colorado ST. (3-4) 35 -0 at the half on ESPNU. Is it just me, or do those florescent orange uniforms on that bright blue field hurt your eyes too? - I think it's giving me flash burn.

 

I def dont make predictions but I think it's going to be a good game. If Fitz runs right up the middle the whole game state will win
