without going though 50 pages of info. Can you tap into the rear led lights to power the bed lights. I already had to remove them cut my bedrug and replace them and if the amps are not to much seems like an easy way to tap them and just run the wires behind the bedrug.

It was easy. The hardest part was really just shimmying under the truck to run the wire along the harness that is there now. That and putting the lights on straight I guess would be the next hardest part. I don't know if you mess up can you pull them back off and re-stick.

    Hey Matt,

Were the hood lights supposed to come with a plunger switch?

The 3rd Gen. Hood light kits come with an on / off switch as the special right angle pin switch was discontinued.

The only switch that came with was the bed mounted one for the bed lights. So, I'm not missing anything with my hood kit then?

Finally got the bed and hood lights installed this weekend. Kicking myself now for waiting so long. Install was a little intimidating just looking over the instructions, but once I got going, it was a piece of cake. Thanks for all of your help with my questions, Matt.

Hey Guys, Ive had the camper shell light kit for a while, but cant seem to get them to stick to the carpet lining. I've tried the velcro w/ adhesive backing and it failed. Then I tried super gluing the light strips to the back of the velcro and that failed. Now I'm considering cutting a thin strip of carpeting out to expose the fiberglass and gorilla gluing. Any better ideas?
    Thanks!

If you apply the "Loop" side of Velcro to the back of the light strips, the carpeted shell will act like the soft portion of Velcro.

I did try that method and the adhesive failed. It was a hot summer here in SoCal.

It could be the velcro backing adhesive or the light adhesive. They are both touching each other. They started cupping in a few areas then came down.

I'd recommend peeling all the tape off the back of the light strips and buying the loop side of real Velcro. It should hold.
