Night is the worst because you can't see much.

I did Philmont (Cimarron, NM) with the boyscouts in 2001. One of the non-staffed camps had a moose/elk carcass right outside the barbed wire fence/gate. Some of the kids said they found more bones while scouting for wood.

My dad has night terrors to begin with, and when a squirrel was rummaging outside the tent he went berserk.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Yep depending on the cut and what they eat it can be fatty. Steven Rinella has an amazing smoked bear bacon recipe. Maple cured, my god is it good. I normally make a lot of sausage and bologna from bear. If you have ever had deer bologna is similar but 10x better.

It’s great. Can make it ground up through a jerky gun or use a brine and use whole meat. I like it both ways haha. I’m a jerky nut. Make it 2-3 times a month with different types of game.

I had some grizzly last time I was in Alaska and I can say it was quite good. And I don't recall it being
fatty. Last deer jerky I had was seasoned with soy sauce. Let's just say the bag was empty by the time
I got home 30 minutes later.
