Not really. A couple members here pretty much turned me off building my Tacoma and posting here as much. So nothing new has been done in a while.

I went off road once if that counts.

Then also did some super rugged camping. :anonymous:

Looking into doing a new build or just tired of scene? This forum can be toxic at times...I'll only post in my regional section for a while because you get tired of the dipshits, newbs and general arguing that goes on in the 3rd gen section lol.

Hope you keep at it since your build is still one of nicest here.

    Thanks!

It’s a mix of things. Some here (not in this thread) that some of the stuff I did was was stupid and I didn’t know what I was doing.

I’ve built a few cars over my life. Good looking ones. But never took them to shows or cruised in them. So they were always like legends (maybe not that extreme) that no one really saw. I thought I’d be different with this one since people like looking at cool builds. I know I do.

So I made a build thread. First one ever. Then tried to get companies to use pics or share them places to promote their products. No one cared. I figured if people here said my build sucked and not a single company wanted free pics, I thought maybe my build does suck so I gave up. :notsure:

I kind of want to build a Subaru crosstrek with a little lift and turbo it. That would be fun but I’m sick of wasting money on building extreme vehicles so maybe not.

    That’s the long story.

Yea man OP def got some flack that IMO wasn’t deserved based off his build. At the same time the LT community can get pretty harsh at anyone, but I don’t blame Erok at all from toning down his presence here. In all honesty I have missed chatting with him on here.

I try not to go there too often but I like looking at people’s build there. Occasionally can’t help posting.

One night I had nothing to do but sit around and drink beer. So I spent a couple hours and deleted every single post and picture I made in the LT section. Depressingly I lost over a thousand posts I think.:rofl:

For a while I tried to post in @90yota’s thread since he was doing stuff. And yours. But they kept falling out of my notifications and I’d forget.

You can add me on Instagram if you have it. Same user as here.

    Thanks!

Side note...OvTune is coming out with a twin turbo kit. :spending:

Shame dude, cause you've got a dope truck. Looking forward to your potential subaru project -- that's likely similar to my next project. I need something more....efficient for my drive to work.

Could always build a Forester XTI. I saw one near us that someone built, was super cool.

Yea man for a while I thought your new home was on 90yotas build. Sadly mine rarely has updates since it doesn’t get out that often. The LT thread is interesting as it’s a mixed bag of guys who some of them are the older generation where anything that requires interpretation should have had extensive research and all that shit. At the same time though, LT isn’t a mystery as much as it used to be and searching peoples set ups now gets lost a lot in the muck from assholes saying “use the research button” instead of actually having something credible on the subject. I do miss some of the OGs on there, but many have this “god” complex where they only respond if they feel it qualifies worthy to say something. Most of my info has either been from guys where they had a situation and was able to read through the process as it happened during my tenure, or bugging Tim at dmz who IMO trumps any dude who claims knowledge on this site which he laughs at how often tw is regarded as gospel and how many times trucks get bad info that eventually wind up in his shop.

man your truck is awesome! Internet sucks and people are dicks. I hope you like your truck that is all that matters and hopefully you get to go out and use it. Lots more to life than the internet. Go drive fast on a dirt road sleep under the stars and drink some beer and take no picture post nothing and just relax.

Oh don’t get me wrong. I still like my truck. Well maybe not the bedsides. I think I have a problem with always liking different things than what I have.

Case in point. I see a modified/fast car pass me on the freeway. I instantly want to build a fat car. See a cool rat rod. Instantly want to build one.

It’s a shame building cars is so expensive. But what hobby isn’t I guess. :rain:

I think for me is because I’ve had a pretty quick car before (500awhp WRX) that I miss the all time. That’s the one car I wish I kept. But it was so low it sucked as daily and getting it inspected was a nightmare that took months each year.
