    Man.. I need to upgrade my Pioneer Double Din so I can get data to show. Been using an old phone running torque, but on the headunit would be so much cleaner.

    It's a really nice bonus to have the data up there. Tire pressures, best 0-60, instant mpg ... it clocks a lot of stuff. I wonder if there's any way to get a boost gauge on there?

    Is that part of Kenwoods interface, or did you need a Maestro type deal to get it to work.

    I've been eyeing a new double din Android headunit. That way it will just mirror my phone, and has Torque built in.

    I have a Maestro to tap into the ECU data. Would love to mirror my phone, but I'm stuck on letting Apple tell me what I can & can't do.

    Just do what I said. Throw the 4.0 with the sc in the little one and then swap in a 5.7 with the sc into the 2nd gen. Or an ls

    So I watched an episode of Engine Masters this a.m. before work where they compared EFI to carbs. One of the things they data logged was the inlet air temp below the carb/throttle body. Air temp was somewhere around 80, but the carb application dropped the inlet temp to almost 32 degF just do to the vaporization. Made me wonder if any of you 7th injector guys have the ability to see the inlet temp after fuel is injected. That was more cooling than I would have thought just from gasoline. Not sure what the fuel pressure was, but from thermodynamics class I can remember that's a isenthalpic expansion just like your aircon unit.

    I don’t have a temp sensor there. The only person I know that has install add’l sensors is @Roostfactor but he doesn’t have a 7th.

    That is a large temperature drop.
    As you said in your engineering lingo, much of that is due to the low pressure created as the air passed through the venturi of the carb.

    Found an article that discusses AFR for various fuels (gas/alcohol). I've been curious about what my AFR should be because my the pumps in my area claim 10% ethanol. I cannot buy pure gasoline anywhere near my house.

    You will be hard pressed to find any fuels out there below E10 these days. There is a list of fuel stations on a website which lists who still carries full strength non ethanol blended fuels. The number of stations, however, is far and few in between.

    Got one here in Wichita Falls. 93 octane 100% gasoline. It's more expensive, like $3.60 a gallon right now.
