    You're not wrong. I'll keep an eye on the FF level on my frame. If it wears off I'll probably replace it.

    Isn’t this the truth. Had a shitty day at work only to come home and find out I have a pretty big repair on my hands. I bought this house last winter and it looks like the previous owners never got the chimney inspected or cleaned. I did today. I have cracked and chipped tiles in my glue and looking at a $1000-$1500 repair to have a steel sleeve installed. Right before winter and needing the wood stove.

    If you want to use it before February I’d get someone over there soon. Once it snows the first time anyone associated with heat is full out. I had to get mine done in NC and it was a real pia calling in mid December looking for someone to come do my chimney.

    Oh yeah... cold weather gear is always in the van. Gonna need it tomorrow morning.......

    Nah... just use several blankets
    May use the 2nd floor air handler tonight.....so far, just been using whatever drifts up from the first floor
