Yeah, still doesn't count. It's not Down East until you get past Ellsworth, really.

Acadia is fun and worth seeing doing. If you are interested in seeing areas that are more wild go to either the new Katahdin Woods & Waters National Monument or the area around Moosehead Lake.

The Great Lost Bear has a huge selection on tap if you're a beer nerd. Duckfat has some really good options on the menu but are a little pricier. Flatbreads is great for lunch if you like pizza; they cook them in a wood-fired oven and this time of year the heat feels nice, lol.

If you're planning on a trip to Acadia, make sure you plan a full day for it, because from Portland it's a 3 hour drive one way so you're looking at 6 hours of drive time just to get there and back.

If he's stopping in Freeport definitely hit Maine Beer for the beer, but go to Buck's for dinner. :hungry:

I will probably head up that way Wednesday. Someone online recommended Fore Street for dinner on so I made reservations for Tuesday.

Sounds like Maine Beer Company would be a great place to have the next Tacoma meet and greet....

Fore Street is great, but you can get most of whats on that menu in any city. They have a sister restaurant call Street and Company that is like the seafood equivalent...if that's your thing.
