Yes they illuminate. Subtly which is fine. Not quite as bright as the pic would make it out to be.

Do you have to transfer the inserts that were in the original knobs?

I could be wrong but I thought I read about that somewhere on TW. Easy enough to check. Pull the new knob off then look to see if the hole looks like a "D" or an "o".

There's nothing to really take off the OEM control knob (I found them)

Not sure what's up but it's been a long day.

Did it come with directions? The hole is not shaped like a "D" so the knob would just spin with nothing to hold onto. If no directions I would send them an email with a picture of the back of the knob above and one of the shaft coming out.

Thanks for the help, I should have played more attention before buying.

Can't get a single one of those little things out. How the heck are y'all doing this?

Do you have a scribe or small flathead screwdriver?
Take a flashlight and look inside. There are a couple little openings in the metal insert.
Put scribe or screwdriver in the slot and carefully pry up. Once it's up about 1/8" or so you will be able to get to the slot from the outside and it will pop right out.
After you get the first one figured out easy.

Thanks for the help. Yep, just snapped my little tiny flathead in half trying to pry this deal out.

I see the 3 slots he's talking about and tried both if the outer two.

I'll mess with it tomorrow, thanks again everyone.

Mine were a total bitch. The fan speed knob was the easiest because mine was the only one lubed from factory. The other 2 were unlubed. I was able to bend one inward ever so slightly to get it out. The last one I had to dremel down the surrounding plastic to expose enough to pull with pliers.
