Not the news we were wanting to hear- so sorry! I know you’ll love her until her last day. Never hurts to pray for a miracle while preparing for what’s inevitable?

:( I know just how that feels. So sorry for your loss.
Dammit was hoping for a better prognosis. :pout:
    Have to agree 100%

When we knew it was time for Ponce we filled his last days with love and treats and everything to make our final time with him the best it possibly could be. We know he was happy - that V8 purr machine wouldn’t quit.
It did not make saying goodbye any easier really but we knew HE knew how much he was loved and would be missed.

I found a short video clip last weekend stored on a thumb drive of him playing - it was about 5-6 years ago. I miss my boy very much but I know he’s waiting for me in the clearing where the path ends.

It’s obvious she’s training you. You’re doing pretty good so far but she thinks you still need some work.

    Thanks Everyone! Appreciate it.

    Thanks.

It's cool you brought up Rainbow Bridge! My wife has buried all her animals growing up so she wanted to do the same for Abigail. After digging the hole and placing her in it my wife read the Rainbow Bridge poem.

Thanks. She put her paw on me a lot. She was never a "lap cat" until the last few years. When my wife got her (almost 10 years ago) she would barely get close to you. She would lay on the couch with her but like on another cushion. Then after a few years she would lay next to her (touching her) but never on her.

She will be missed. It's so weird not coming home and having to feed her or her beg for our dinner. Or the bad (changing pee-pads, scooping litter boxes, cleaning throw-up). *thinks about all the good things*

Sorry to hear this. In my 65 years I've had to do this... well, more times than I like to think about; it never gets any easier. Take very good care of her in the time she has left.

You are probably doing the right thing. It hurts us to make the decision, but it's what's best for them and that's the critical issue. The wife and I have had the same discussion lately regarding our Henry, and if he has another crisis or otherwise declines we will be doing the same. I feel for you bro. Not easy.

Always a tough decision. We had to do this with our dog this March. It's hard to let go, but sometimes it's all we can do. Good luck!
