He’d have to get a new hitch if he flipped the axle, his would be too low.

He decided to hold his peace on the issue. He posted for a split second then deleted it

The idea to have all wheels and tires the same for both truck and trailer is to reduce the number of spares.

Of course in this case, the truck will need to be with the trailer for all trips.

If you run BFGs you get crap typically, my tires were nicknamed the maypops last trip. Thankfully they held together

I would run them on a full-sized truck that does a decent amount of towing in the dirt/snow but avoid otherwise

i ran a set and they KO2's look nice but there a look over function to me. IG kids love them while people who need them for offroading and daily use dont care for them. they are quite though until running bald. but BFG as a company i like them just not the KO2's unfortunately

Not sure. Its his oldest kids former car. He towed it to his place last spring, and tried to get it started in his driveway. It wouldn't, so its sat in his garage since. It looks like a base model SR5 2WD like a 1998ish. Id assume a 3RZ. Starter probably went, and since those are a pita to replace, he hasn't touched it. That's just my guess based on what I saw the day he brought it home.

Hmmm we get 40k+ out of them on a 2500 that spends most of its time towing.

No issues in the snow/ice/mud in the mountains with a trailer hooked up

I see tons of people that run them on full sized trucks, suvs and mini trucks.

I feel like they’re probably good enough for the majority of the drivers and as proven by Ben off-road uses.

It’s seems like most people just say it’s a bad tire cause they don’t want to be in the odd group.

I think a lot of tires with a similar tread pattern are that way. General AT2's are just as horrible. No wet traction, little dry road capability, yet OK on snow. The two are very similar if side by side.

I dunno, at this point I hope to never have to buy another AT (AS in the case of the KO2) from anyone. People seem to like their Hankooks and Coopers, go ask those folks I suppose. And the KO2s aren't even fit to compete with budget economy tires

I know AT2s suck, so do their MTs. One of the reasons I won't run Nittos (since they're just Toyos)

    @koditten

    Here’s the axle.

The only brake assemblies that will fit my four bolt axle flange are 10” ones that say are only meant to handle 15” wheels.

The brake assemblies that are meant to handle 16” wheels and the 6x5.5 bolt pattern are usually found on 5,500 pound axles, they’re 12” diameter brake assemblies.

Think I’ll be okay using my 16” wheels on the 10” brake assembly?
