Do you mind sharing a link to the bulbs you used?

My retrofitted headlights are tired. May snag a set of these soon. Is the $100 off still happening?

Anyone had this happen? I noticed my passenger drl and turn signal was dead so when I went to pull it out and change it, it fell out of the plug and into the housing. Pulled the driver side to check and it was worse. I pulled the stock ones out of my stock housing and replaced them. I'm wondering if it was bad wiring or just the cheap bulbs that came with them?

Cheap bulbs. 1 turn signal went out after a month. It was melted like that but stayed together. Replaced with good bulbs and no issues in 6 or 7 months.

That's good to know. The ones I pulled out of my stock housing were Sylvania so hopefully those don't melt.

I bought a new set at autozone. Stashed the 1 "good" 1 in the glovebox just in case.

Haven't found any. Using stock halogens. I bought a cheapie HID kit from eBay, then a much nicer one from a lighting site (don't remember which). Neither provided enough useable light in the projectors.

I haven't tried these, so will be interested in your findings, but just be aware, I have tried two different HID kits from lesser sources with no luck. They are brighter, but the light is not useable due to where the bulb is placed within the projector. I'll let you be the tester this time.

My fear with doing led's was the front being incandescent that it would speed up the flash speed.

I know, I just didn't feel like putting in the effort or the extra money. It was easy just to stop at the auto parts store grab some replacement bulbs and Bam I'm back in business.

I feel ya. I was going to leave mine stock too but then I decided I wanted switch backs so I made the extra effort. Glad I did.

Just installed mine! 3 hours after install and the passenger side had condensation in it....

I'm using some LED's from Autozone for the DTRL. They are blinking fast, which really annoys me. I don't think I'm supposed to have white blinkers either...reading above, a resister will fix the fast blinking? I'll have to research that. And probably get amber LED's.

Hi, If I can suggest you use resistors if you want to use switchbacks (amber when flashing) on your front signal lights. I used switchbacks on mine and wired with resistors. I mounted them on aluminum plates that also act as heatsinks. The resistors fixed the hyperflashing.

Hi Sir, I like what you did on your grill. Would you be able to share where you bought that red “TOYOTA” emblem?

Its a logo from a FJ I believe. That site sells them painted for a extra $75, but I bought it white, and painted it myself after careful taping. Then a clear coat.

Do you have a write-up or guide that you used? I believe I ordered similar resistors from SuperBrightLEDs & will be installing this weekend
