    I was a heavy equipment operator for 10 years and class A driver for 25 . Worked for 5 different companies during that time ! 10 years was the longest I stayed at any one company!

    "Asshat", my former boss, had 40 jobs in 42 years upon his arrival here. He now has had 42 jobs in 45 years. He's in Decatur Ill. now. Far enough away that he's someone elses problem now. No one on the job search committee saw a red flag with that fact. Their maintenance engineer did.

    I sent his current "Facilities Manager" at the new job (My job/different title) an email yesterday after he reached out to me with his "concerns". I offered my condolences, as well as a bit of advice. (Don't let him intimidate you. He's an asshole who won't stay in one place long)

    Country club jobs average 2.2 years in tenure. I've had ONE boss that lasted over 4 years. (He made it 11) My 29 years, 10 months is the exception rather than the rule. I hate change and they LOVE my ability to get things done cheap. My nickname here is "Found Money". That tells you all you need to know about the required skill set to be long term at a country club.

    My friend that owns a tree company just called, he’s going to take down one of the big trees in my front yard for free. Hopefully the rain will let up long enough for that to happen. I’ve still got 3 large trees left to take down, hopefully that’s the last of the oaks to succumb to oak wilt.
